Why can't NO have their own tour???

I don't want to spend $3000000000 USD to see 200 bands and not shower for 3 days.

I want to see New Order and that's it.

Can someone just book them, and only them, for a tour please?

They're marketing department has told them that the best way to promote the album, with little work is to play to big crowds. Fuck the fans eh

They seem to prefer these weekend gigs. Gives em something to look forward too.

We'll just have to keep our fingers crossed for a decent Autumn tour, & possibly the warm-up gig(s) will be accessable.

If New Order doesn't want to have a US tour, then I wish they'd play maybe 3 or 4 more US dates after Coachela, just to give the US New Order fans a chance to see them live. Like the following:

New York City Chicago or Detroit Dallas or Houston San Francisco or Los Angeles

They won't! We're not being difficult or deliberately contrary when we say they won't do this......that's the way it is.

What's wrong with not showering for 3 days ? That's part of the fun.

Though an exclusive new order tour would be nice, going to festivals is fun too - you should all really go enjoy other bands/acts out there. Believe it or not, there's more music out there than new order!

Put it this way, I would love them to do a US Tour. I have every intention of touring the US myself as a tourist, so if they were to sign up to more than one or two gigs I'd be there!

Then I could see them for reasonable money, and at a reasonable venue. As it is now, they're playing in the desrt in the summer.

I'm not sure that playing festivals is such a good idea. Yes it looks good when they are in front of 50 000 people, but how many in that crowd actually know who they are, and how many will actually remember who they are. I'm not sure they profile got any sort of a boost here in Oz when they played the festical circuit here a couple of years ago.

Say did anyone here on NOOL actually became a fan because they saw them at a festival.

To have their own tour however, in places other than the UK, they would need far greater recognition than they have these days. A recent hit might help. It would not look good if they played places holding say 5000, that are more than half empty. So, festivals it is.

At least here in Oz we got a couple of New Order only gigs, but these were at places that held like 5000.

So, its all a matter of money. Make money playing festivals, or loose it when playing on your own tour.

I guess we shouldn't complain too much when the Order are actually playing live. The only problem I have, is that it usually is a shit fight trying to get to the front.

Last time I had to try 3 times before those bonehead bouncers would even let me into the mosh pit, but I got there 3 rows back. Yeah.

Festivals equal less expense and commitment for the band. This is what they prefer these days.

I don't mind festivals, but i'd still like to see them do some sort of show of their own. I'm sure they mentioned something about planning a show, in the interview with Zane Lowe on MTV2, or maybe i'm imagining it.

yeah Bernard did say in the Gonzo int they will be doing a big gig like the Finsbury do.

I don't personally think New Order owes us a tour. They don't owe anyone anything. But I do think it would be great of them if they played a few more US dates, and gave more of the US a chance to see them play live. I think there are more US New Order fans here than people realize.

For me as well, but where would they play? They filled the Civic in 89 (3,000), but who knows if they could draw the same amount after all this time. Would absolutely love to see them play at the Crystal Ballroom, that's for sure.
