If anyone hasn't seen it, Carol Morley's fantastic documentary "The Alcohol Years" is available on DVD from all good retailers. Sister of Paul, the film includes more Factory/New Order/Hacienda anecdotes than you can shake a stick at, and even The Good Doctor Alan Wise gets interviewed (the filmmaker shagged him, but doesn't remember doing it).
It's a sad and beautiful little film, and will strike chords with anyone who's pissed large chunks of their life away (ie - most of us).
