It's flaming hot here in Oz...there's a fire ban today in Sydney....still it's bbq, sausages, piss and more piss, occassional wine/vinegar......and cricket.
hasn't half of sydney burnt down from bushfires? And there was a tornado in Tasmania, and we copped a fair bit of sizable hail here, followed by some sun, then some rain, bit more hail and thunder, ah melbourne, you have to love it :)

EVERTON, EVERTON, EVERTON!!!

I stopped getting cds for christmas when my list consisted of artists unfamiliar to the rest of my family. Besides, I could just as easily pick up whatever I wanted on my own, so I decided to be more laidback about xmas lists...![]()
my family have never heard of any of the artists i like either - i made a list of the 10 cds i wanted most. wow christmas is so much fun!
and this is my 100th post!!!! yay!!!!
I figured they had enough junk to put up with w/o my "alternative gods" obscure whims. It's really best for their sake, I feel like I'm a humanitarian because I spare them just that much more grief...

You remember that Tory MP who was found asphyxiated the other year, who was found trussed up like a chicken with an orange in his mouth ?
Little known polis detail has it on record that his grieving family wished it to be kept a secret that he was also found wearing an Everton scarf :p

Shug and Timbo... you are walking on thin ice...
Liv darling;) I'm always walking on thin ice - makes it more exciting
I was only joking - I've got nothing against the toffeemen - I supported them till that trecherous little bastard Mo Johnston signed for them - I really don't care about English footy at the moment - although Man U in top form are something to behold;)

Confession time. I was brought up an Everton supporter. My gaffer at WCFC was an Evertonian (ex-player). When I started playing seriously in the mid-80s I stopped supporting (coincidentally at the same time as Everton were winning everything). When I stopped playing I channeled all my efforts into my team (WCFC) - couldn't possibly support anyone else now.
Mr J did you play for WCFC? or just part-time mate?
I wasn't bad when I was younger - trials at Forest, Villa, and funnily enough Celtic - but at that time no-one had a car and I never got the chance to fulfill my greatest ambition - then when I turned 18 and started college - Women and Cigarettes took hold![]()

I played for City's Youth Team as a kid, then joined Coventry Sporting (Dr Martens Midland in those days)when I went to Warwick Uni. Later played for various clubs up to Conference level. Had trials at Stoke (played reserves) and Sunderland. Did knee permanently in 1992 and took up coaching. managed the WCFC Youth Team 1994-96. Now I coach in the Ryman League and scout for City.
Cushty number mate
I haven't played for 2 years - so unfit, I pick up injuries so fuckin easy - dodgy knee as well mate - As soon as I give up the blasted fags - I'll start again![]()
I've started training again, having been inspired by Phil Stant to keep playing. Haven't played for 8 years at any level, but reckon I can do it now if I stop trying to run around like a headless chicken and concentrate on what I do best. May even consider giving up the fags !!
Didn't get anything exciting for Christmas myself: a coat, a computer chair (which I've needed for ages), CDs, smellies, chocolate, books etc. Just the usual, really.
Cheers Shelley. You have to include Aftershave and Deodarants for me though - I'd look a right jessie if I said people got me foam bath etc... ;)
Dunno Jarvo - Are you a closet Slade fan? Do you dress in flairs and wear make-up at the weekend? Only kidding of course - I was just expressing my delight after several beers that night, they were the only words I could come up with![]()
Was your profile pic taken in the carpark of the boozer opposite the Olympia, Mr Sludden? Looks familiar.. .

There's a similar piccie of me taken in the same car-park later on, on the net somewhere at me mate's site, but for the life of me I can't find it at the mo'. Remember seeing Bez inside the boozer though.
We were actually first in that pub, around 4-5pm. Don't think they'd seen a crowd before! The till broke down and they ran out of draft lager. Class.
Was the pub called the Derby?

I'll never be able to look at Bez without thinking of waiting to see NO att he Apollo in Oct. I was desperate for the loo and there were loadsa people in the pub round the corner (whatever it was called) blocking they way... and I ended up saying to Bez " Can you move outa the way mate, i need a slash" or words to that effect! It was only once i started talking to him that i realsied who he was, i then ran into the loos and screamed and proceeded to call my mate and tell him all about it! Hee Hee ~ i guess you had to be there.....
Shug, you look remarkably like my mate, Daly, who i went to Uni with.... thats a compliment btw, I always quite fancied him... lol

My best Bez story comes from way, way back at the Kilburn National in 88, or 89, when the Mundeez were supporting the Shamen (Will Sin RIP) and I was basically stood by the bar, and Bez is approaching me, then the little (no offence Shug) fucker walks, head down, straight into me. Bez takes 2 steps back, charges into me again. And again. There's me, head and shoulders above said Bezster, just stood there, and there's a crowd building up around us, and he just keeps doing the same thing - walks into me, 2 steps back, ricochets off me again, at a slightly different angle, repeat ad nauseum. Nothing aggressive in it at all, the poor bloke was just so FUCT and he couldn't figure out what to do. Eventually, I had to give ground and let the Marracca'd maestro pass. Ah, them were the days.

Indeed, Shug, I've the memory of a - oh, what's it called? - big brown thing, big hooter, big ears? Surprised I didn't recognise your uncle to be honest, Shug, I'm dead good with faces.
As soon as we seen how busy it was Jarvo - we thought fuck this - Lorraine was 5 or 6 months preganant - so we got her a chair and sat outside.

What Iain hasn't quite managed to conceal was that it was Andy Cole....... as they say in Embra, perr cunt !

I'm afraid I need a translation please- - Andy Cole?
Coal as a tasty treat, Shug . . . ? I think you mean bituminous, which is the softer type of coal. I got anthracite, which is the harder type of coal and not very easy on the teeth.:) Or as tasty!
I learned the above fact from my 9th grade Pennsylvania geography class. I'm sure Mr. Gentry would be proud. We also got extra credit if we brought in maps from home that we folded.
Perhaps I have revealed too much about myself. I feel vulnerable and sensitive. Please be kind to me.
Sorry, I just read the thread. I didn't realize we were talking about Bez. Last thing I heard from the Mondays was "Step on", which i believe was '91?
Here's my Bez story, Once upon a time there was some weirdo in a band (no one knew why because he couldn't sing or play an instrument). He did lots of drugs, got banned fom the States, and nobody cared. The End
Anybody know how Bez got a position with the Mondays? Was he sleeping with Shaun?

Andy Cole is synonymous with ignominious failure. He is J.Oliver with burnt food, a remix with out-of-tune vocals, a canoe with an unexpected extra hole, rag week coinciding with Christmas. In a nutshell, he is the discarded nutshell, the bit you don't want.

If he whacked Cheney as well then I would like to shake his hand. Is Jamie Oliver that naked cook guy on the food network?
