Anything special planned for your 1000th post then Gnu?
Damn, gotta bump this back up.
I'm a huge Steven Street fan. He's master of the jingle-jangle guitar record (eg The Smiths), but I can't tell what he brought to this project. "Turn" is classic Street; like someone already said, you can practically hear Mozzer singing the first verse. But he also did "Working Overtime," the "let's make a track that sounds totally out of place on the record" track. And HNWYD. And MNaD. All over the place stylistically.
Stuart Price? If he delivers a hit with "Jetstream" then I forgive him for GIAUE. The two most obviously "produced" tracks on the record, and the only one with even a chance in hell of being played on the radio in the States.
John Leckie checks in with "Krafty" and "Dracula's Castle". Um, next.
At least they Hagueproofed the studio this time around.
And what's up with Arthur Baker? He did "Behind Closed Doors" and that's it? Seems strange that they don't record with him more often.
