ok its a cheap cash in poor song, that pete waterman or simon cowell would put out"in conjunction with the sissor sisters"sort of shite, and it showed.Minus credibility points to The Order from my "casual fan" mates, undoing a lot of the good stuff i play them, kind of hurts.what a bastard, they obviously wrote this one to sell to the main singles buying market.i.e.10-15yr old girls and it stinks.Thats what i reckon
But, and its a big BUT
Hyde park is gunna be the best day out ive had this year, just leave it out with this jetsream malarky eh![]()

a few million watch this jonathan ross show too.Would have given the kind of birth to the masses the classic title track deserves.not the uber embarrasing jetsream.foot, shot, and in. on this shitstreak single. And here are we, championing them down the pub only for this to happen
shit
Jetstream is epitomy of the safe, bland, family-friendly dance pop that big record companies and now New Order are so fond of.
Give me the exctasy drenched debauchery of the Technique era over this pile of Britney Spears wannabe crap.
Oh, and someone get Barney to start singing the real lyrics to True Faith again. ![]()
Who cares, that was New Order LIVE, just as we love em, and that ANA wow, i'd do her, (Again) ![]()
I thought Barney looked a bit dissapointed with the ammount of effort that Anna. I put more effort into singing in the shower than that.
I think it's a great song, especially Anna's gutsy vocals. A flat performance like this is a real missed oportunity to widen New Order's appeal.
Maybe she followed New Order's gig preparation schedule instead of her own? That would explain her aparent confusion.
Still, NO on the telly - fantastic! Particularly liked Bernard's gesture from the green room.

Still want to know if this is the next album name:

I saw her first. Back of the queue, DMB.

Yeah, it fucking rules. Barney is one of my dance idols up there with Ian, Carlton Banks, anyone who does the robot, Will Smith, and a few others I forgot.

I didn't see the programme, but regarding 'credibility points', you're spot on. I haven't even played WFTSC for the missus yet, 'cause even though I love it, I'm afraid of what the 'casual' fan might have to say.
Oh dear indeed - although those ear monitors are not the easiest to play with especially when one is as tanked up as BS obviously was.
Excellent line-up however. Shame there was no mention of the Regret video - which was shot when The Hoff's face was a little less 'tight' than it is right now.

PS. Message to BS. Get some Milk Thistle down your neck. Will work a treat and will most certainly stop your current transformation into Sir Alex Ferguson.
I loved the scowl from them all at the end of the performance! Hooky looked like he was gonna wun over and lamp Woss.
Wish he had!
:dead:
Gotta be a good track, its the first time my wife has ever liked a New Order song. No doubt she'll soon be dancing around a circle of leather bags at the local disco.
I liked the performance!
My thoughts: Bernards shouting was because he wanted to give his voice more power. Ana had to sing lower than she usually does, that´s difficult. Phil and Hooky didn´t seem happy. Do they really hate the song that much? Or did they only look serious?
Hi does anyone know if this performance will be posted so we can see it. Who the puck is Jonathan Ross?
c/p'd from Popbitch re the recording of the Ross show..
'He rips into Kelly Osbourne so much about her new single cover that she almost cries and calls him a wanker. Basically saying she's a lying bitch for refusing to admit she'd had her flab airbrushed off her. So scathing was his attack that The Hoff (yes...the hoff!) was refusing to go on and Anamatronic(?) went and had a go at him (Ross). Cue another big barny. Audience not getting into it at all and producers sweating buckets backstage. As a result, jonothan introduces New Order and whasername something like this:
"And to end the show, here's New Order and their deeply average new single!"
Unfortunately you may not see any of this as tonights show has been "cleverly edited" :('
Think that explains the scowls at the end. Tosser.
Are you really suprised that New Order's performance was so poor? they had to listen Woss talk a load of wubbish for an hour or so..wibble wobble

i aint even seen it yet, hopefully it'll be up on this site soon, got a couple of texts fri night sayin it was shite, but that was off my mates who aren't really fans, although they rate move as one of the best gigs thay've seen and are coming along this year too!
I'm just watching it again. It was much better than I first thought. The singing is a bit flat in parts but good overall and the band are really tight. Hooky's bass, in particular, sounded fantastic.
It's on again at 10pm.
I'm not all that fussed on Jetstream but thought this was great viewing. It may have been a bit out of tune but who cares. Barney was jumping around like mad and singing live so you couldn't really expect anything other. I'd rather it was live and sounding less than perfect than a mimed performance which is what we, unfortunately, see all too often these days ![]()
Besides, i'm not in to New Order for perfection. I was watching the old TOTP 'Blue Monday' performance on TOTP2 the other day and they were completely crap but it was still a classic to watch.
Barney's dancing was a bit dodgy but if he's enjoying himself, which he obviously is, then so be it. I find it amusing more than anything else

On a different note, I forgot what a complete tit Jonothan Ross can be until I was reminded on Friday night.
Palani wrote: Hi does anyone know if this performance will be posted so we can see it. Who the puck is Jonathan Ross?
normally quite like Ross, but he was a bit out of order to Kelly Osbourne - thought it left a bit of a bad taste at the time.
Don't think Jetstream works that well when Barney's whooping and dancing - the mimed versions come across a lot better. Fair Play to the bloke for doing that obscenely bad dancing in front of a couple of million people though.
Damn....all this talk about the show makes me wanna see it more. The upload can't come soon enough!

Oh and was the performance better or worse than Kimmel?
Oh and who is Anna? A singer? Is she black or white?
I have been singing the praises of New Order for years and for the first time (bearing in mind I have just called my new born son Barney) - I told my mother in law to make sure she watched Jonathon Ross ..to see what band had been so important to me all these years.
So, then I had to defend myself all sunday, when she said it was out of tune and crap lyrics!!!
It isnt the best of songs though is it?
P.s I still wouldnt have a bad word said against them in public
Deano

So that's it - debate closed.
Deano's Mother-in-Law didn't like it, so Friday's performance was no good!
What did you think of it Deano?

concarats on Barney junior mate, god bless him and love him.And i know what you mean about having to defend the band to family and friends after they have heard Jetstream.Roll on the next single, which is a corker and needs to be, because jetstream is the lowest point of any of the bands work. Its false as fuck from such a genuine band and it does my head in quite frankly.I cant understand how they would put this out as a single without thinking ill of the band, which i have never done in the past and i dont like it.And to those who point to WIM as sell out stuff,BOLLOCKS! they are footie fans, english and proud of it.Plus it was rather good and "Of the time" here in England
God help any Americans coming to Hyde Park, it will be similar to em hiring a manual ( Stick Shift ) car.
um, we drive stick shifts in the states....
hell, we first invented em too...
god bless the united states of america...
most powerful empire on earth!!!!
we drive the biggest autos in the world...
and we KNOW how to drive stick shift here....
(loads of smilies here)
p.s. of course, we can't drive stick shift in Olde Merry Englande... cause you guys have the sides of the roads all backwards! someone needs to fix that....
So f^ck,we Brits have a long and rich history of invention and whiter teeth than some would have you think:D too
Watched it again last night - don't think it's a bad performance by any means. The sound quality isn't brilliant meaning you can't here too much of the music, and they do look thoroughly pissed off at the end. Otherwise watches a lot better second time round.
Took special interest in Ross' introduction after hearing what was said in Popbitch. It clearly edits something out when he is introducing it, and you also notice Hasselhoff piss himself and Ana making a less than pleased gesture in Ross' direction. Quite funny really.

I watched the whole programme again last night.
Did anyone else see the look on the Hoff's face when the League of Gentlemen left the Green Room. I think the really interesting footage would have been the tapes from in there.
I'll take another look tonight...THought at the time that Kelly O looked like she wanted to smack him one

Well that's just Wossy. Anyone who goes on his programme should expect to get ribbed. Sure Kels looked a bit miffed during the interview, but she gave as good as she got and they seemed to part on good terms.
I remember listening to him interview Jilly Goulden the wine critic on his radio show. It was honestly one of the funniest things I've ever heard.
