Bit OT, but I know there are many serial glastophiles here so I should ask...... The news about thunderstorms this weekend reminded me of this.....
My Ex-GF used to have this tape from Glasto...probably early 90's. I can't even remember who is actually playing on the tape, but it was good :).... My question..... The tape ends with J. Peel saying something like "We'll have The Orb on stage here soon and they're planning to summon lightning down onto the stage with a big rod" and then the tape cuts. i've also heard this mentioned in little side boxes in Orb articles, along with other bonkers things they've done(not least close a couple of venues due to bass damage). Between working for Killing Joke and Being a JD/NO fan, poor old Alex has been left with some pretty twisted ideas of how to behave in the music biz :)
Anyway....does anyone have a clue what i'm on about (yes I KNOW it's be a first :) )
Or does you lot ONLY go when there will be a religious service held, like this year.
