I heard a rumour that Barney is set to appear on the Celebrity Big Brother show at the end of the year.
Barney on Big Brother?

If he was to go on Big Brother having listed being away from home as a reason for not touring more I would be foaming at the mouth. Not literally obviously.
for someone with seenmingly a fair amount of rage issues that has to be the worst idea ever. if it were true, for once i would be an avid bb viewer
That would be awful. Imagine how many New Order fans would be glued to their TV sets for 3 or more hours a day, just in case they might miss the sight of Barney twatting a D-list celebrity... ![]()
Hooky said that he was supposed to be on the last one, but pulled out last minute and was replaced by Bez. It would be funny as fuck with barney in the house, just as long as he doesn't dance and whoop all the time, the only problem with appearing on it is that it confirms you are a hasbeen and not a current celeb (if somewhat low key and cult status celeb).
I hope it's not a joke...
'Waiting for the sirens left overs' would sell a load more copies as a result and we'd get an interesting peak into the thought process of our master and lord...

holy mother of god!!!!
I could see hooky doing it (and winning), but barney?!
jeezus christ on a frickin bike, that would be to painful to watch!
I think that whole thing would be far to uncool for the likes of Barney !Or come to think of it any of the band. But saying that if Hooky was to go on i would love to see him twat Peter Andre over the head with his Guitar.

Would be funny if Barney got in there and they then brought a certain Anthony H Wilson in as well........
Maybe he needs the prize ££ to help him buy some new sails for his boat, so as he can wonder off into the sunset & think of more top tunes like 'I told you so' Not

Wasn't it rumoured that Hooky'd been asked to fo it last year, but they went for Bez instead...???

Its bound to be stramed on the internet. Just ask the Brits for the address.
The address is:
http://www.channel4.com/bigbrother/
you will find that the link is dead between Celebrity and Pleb shows. It's still on now though- but will be dead in a few days.
You have to pay a 'small fee' for unlimited access to streaming...

Sorry guys and girls. It was just a harmless joke. I couldnt resist it and just wanted to see what reaction the comment would receive.
I personally dont think Barney would ever agree to appearing on such a programme and Im sure if he did then he probably wouldnt come across to the viewer too well. Someone more laid back like Steve would be more fun to watch. Having said that, no one in their right mind would appear on such a show (would they?).
I didn't think it sounded right. Steve or Hooky, maybe. But Barney - no. He's too uptight and anxious and would be back on the Prozac within 4 weeks
ha ha ha- brilliant!
that reminds me- does anyone know where i can get a link to that programme with barney and the prozac? my next project after my dissertation is going to be about happiness/depression and creativity, so it would be pretty handy. cheers to anyone who can help

I think you can live wihout it - lots of shots of Barney scratching his head at 3.50am before finally coming up with "I got thirsty for a beer".
I'd rather just self-medicate.

A good candidate would be Anthony H,who's no stranger to reality TV.Funny seeing him on that programme where they're not to have any contact with the outside world, and while everyone's taking their mantras,he's on his phone listening to the footie scores!!:D
It would be bloody excellent to be honest. But there's no way it would happen. Nice going NO Regret.

Thank you, i'm very relieved. last year Hooky was asked to do it, but due to commitments he couldnt. he recommended shaun ryder who also couldnt do it, but he recommended Bez, and the rest, as they say, is history....

Wow. From a comedy comment Ive posted, Ive learnt so much. Bez was good to watch. Sort of soul of the party one minute, then staring psycho, and then down in the dumps the next.
Bez was great value and I actually enjoyed watching it when he was on. I really wouldn't want Barney, or anyone from NO, to do it though, which I know is a bit of a double standard.
Glad this was a joke :)
I wish I would have watched the episodes with Bez. Must've been classic. Any way I could get a hold of recordings?
You could always phone or write to Channel 4 - they certainly used to be very obliging with providing cassettes to people who asked - no harm in trying! ![]()
What i'd like to see is some Factory All-Stars/Washups Big Brother special. Bernard, Cath Carroll, DoJo, Vini Reilly, Shaun Ryder, Jennie Cassidy, Ann Quigley, and Mike Pickering sharing the same house. ![]()

Could be difficult, Jenny Cassidy died of breast cancer a little while back :(
