Crap female vocals too. The song is cack!
you know i just change my mind on WIM. I really enjoyed seeing those hooligans having loads of fun in the video. The song is good for laughs.
Jetstream & Working Overtime, State of the Nation too, Album Cut of Perfect Kiss, Lets go (Best of Version)

Weren't those hooligans having loads of fun in the video the England football/soccer team?
I'm faintly astonished that no-one has mentioned the obviously-ironically-titled "Such A Good Thing", which is the worst pile of cack ever to be graced by NO's name. Yes, even worse than SOTN and Rock the Shack.

Yes the Gold sleeve version IS the best song of all time. And the other version is the worst of all time.Confusing hey?.

the video is fantastic: barney trying to appear suave in his ray-bans, gillian looking frightfully embarassed, john barnes and his (actually half-decent) rap, chris waddle's glorious mullet, and gazza when he still had a reason to smile.
the song's still crap, though.

hmmm...i dunno some pretty great songs are included in this list..the only one i totally AGREE with is slow jam.
my irrefutable
list would include:
we all stand.........boring as hell slow jam.............boring as all hell shellshock...........crappy 80's pop, horribly dated rock the shack.......eeesh! why?!? confusion............let down of all time, also quite dated player in the league.--depeche mode anyone? sub-culture 12" .....absolutely ruined a decent song 2nd half of republic.--watered down 3rd rate NO
side notes:
Just for laugh while listening to get ready I substituted 'rock the shack' and 'slow jam' with 'brutal' and 'here to stay'. what a motherfucker that would've been.
i've truly come to appreciate NO lighter/less serious side to song writing. songs like mr. disco, WIM, best and marsh, Liar, GIAUE, and jetstream. they're not particulary clever or innovative, but they certainly do cheer you up on a bad day. ![]()
This is easy. It would have to include
Temptation True Faith Regret Age Of Consent Bizarre Love Triangle Crystal EGG Ceremony This Time Of Night Leave Me Alone Round and Round Dream Attack Turn

Everyone cocks up now and again, even one of the best bands in this known universe(At least they're never succumbed to the live gimmickry that U2 fell back onto with the ZooTV and Popmart tours{Remember the martini olive, the golden arch, Trabants hung above the stage and MacPhisto's on-stage phonecalls?}). Makes Keith and the panto horse at Glasto seem pretty tame..

Well, you're coming along, Jonathan. I guess I'll have to make do with this.
They have done some awful horseshit in their career as well as some of the finest tunes I've heard. However lowlights for me include:
ShellshockState of the NationRock The ShackSlow JamMTOSub-cultureMost of Movement
They've done alot of stuff I don't consider being very good but wouldn't necessarily classify 'The Worst', such as an album track or two from PC&L, Brotherhood and WFTSC.
I'm going to get hell for this one over #14, but I just can't bring myself to like this song no matter how much I would like to.
- Best & Marsh
- Liar
- Vietnam
- Every Little Counts
- Cries & Whispers
- Ode To Joy
- Rocking Carol
- Turn My Way
- Rock The Shack
- As It Is When It Was
- The Happy One
- Working Overtime
- Fine Time
- Lonesome Tonight
- Run Wild
Blue Monday as a hidden bonus track, after 20 minutes of silenceat the end of the CD, as that song seems like an eternity every time I listen to it.

Oh, man, I disagree with so many - but agree with others. well, obviously.
I love Sabotage and Such A Good thing. Vietnam could have been good without the exceptionally dodgy lyrics - perhaps oddly bouncy for No though, I'll admit.

It's out already, and called Get Ready. However, they got it slightly wrong, but it's all fine if you replace Crystal with Sub-culture, 60mph with Working overtime and Someone like you with the Sunkist commercial.
When 60 MPH came out, I was first kinda unimpressed, but I like that track a lot, it's a good rockin' song, just like Such A Good Thing. That's a cute song. It makes me feel good.
My problem is that New Order's getting old and they feel the need to ROCK OUT all the fu**ing time. They need some synthesizers, quick. I'm tired of all the frigging guitar, man. I respect the new album, but the tracks could be much better with a little electronic enhancement.
If I wanted to rock, I'd listen to U-fu**ing-2.
Maybe it's because I'm a progressive house & trance DJ - but on the other hand New Order is my biggest influence, and my favorite band.

He's been working hard, this lad. Although where's the Slow Jam Miranda Sawyer Murray Mint Mix?
How long??
It was a Blue Peter Job actually - the tracklisting for CDs 2-5 were already long in the can. My wife helped me with CD1 after we'd spent one evening getting pissed with our two dogs.......snigger snigger.....

BIGGEST INSULT TO NEW ORDER EVERRRRRRR!
By FAR it's the Sly and Robbie mixes of Ruined In A Day...all of which sound exactly the same ![]()
Remixes shouldn't be allowed as they are alreday a bastardisation of the original... and every other NO song has a context..for example, if I hadn't gone to the bar at Hammersmith Palais (10.11.85) during State of the Nation I would never have met my wife...
theives like us (vocal version - song is better without bernard`s daft lyrics) world in motion (except the caribineiri and b-side mixes) liar rock the shack
