Hmm.. it is quite JD/NO-like that they don`t actually include the title of the song in the lyrics.

Glad I found out about the track here first, my brain probably would have exploded if I was listening to the radio and heard "Here's the Sugababes latest-Joy Division!"

But where did they come up with the title? Doesn't seem typical.

But seriously, theyve just hit 20 and its there 4th album out. That aint bad? I know they dont write their own and its got good production, but even so. I think theyre flavour of pop is more to my taste than most other stuff.

i must admit that i've never heard of 'sugababes' before. i take it that they aren't any good!! this album or song has, in no way shape or form, any inspiration from JD or NO. why did i waste my time!?

In their defence I have to say that I find tem a lot less objectionable on the lugs than most chart pish, and it's nice to hear so called "r+B" that hasn't degenerated into "yo yo mofo". Also they can actually sing a little bit (and this is a NEW ORDER FORUM, AND PEOPLE IN GLASS HOUSES SHOULDN'T PLAY WITH BLAST BOMBS[1]). And at least some portion of their musc is their own, which is a rare thing in the top 40, never mind the fact they were but wee'uns when they had their first hits. And they seem to have served as a role model for girls aloud, who obviously didn;t pay any attention to the finer details of the music.

And yes, there ARE one or two tracks of their in the Campbell music archives.

I wonder if I'm the only person on the planet who's posting to a New Order Forum in praise of the Sugababes, while listening to a playlist including Captain Beefheart, Primus, Orbital, Dizzy Gillespie, king crimson, the orb vs the penguin cafe orchestra, the art of noise and propaganda.Note no new order, I neevr mix music and new order it ruins both ( oddly I rarely mix the orb with anything either, but that PCO track (music for found harmonium) is right up there with "the happy one" or "a conneticut yanky in the court of king arthur" by robert fripp in terms of bringing a smile to any human face)

I dont know what sauce bottle youve been drinking from but I agreed with you about Sugababes being better than most acts in charts.

Push the button- their last single is one the best things they've done. The Richard X / Gary Numan 'Freek Like Me' was excellent- they have done a lot of stuff that makes me want to puke thou'

i don't think they've ever charted in the US. but again, they had a single (one of their first) that i quite liked. it was different from your typical girlie-pop music. can't remember the name of it, though.

the one on the left should be forced to put a bag over her head, preferably a plastic one without any holes, the other 2 would definately get it though.
