Was at RED EYE (Sydney's Import Music Store) tonight and spotted BRAND NEW re-pressings of JD's UP & Closer vinyls...and these have 'Factory FACT 10' & 'FAC XXV' printed on the sleeve like the originals. These are definitely FAKIES.... but its amazing that pirated stuffs now appearing in vinyl format. Of course I've seen lotsa bootleg vinyl pressings or white-label presses...but this is going too far - these ones are a direct replica, sleeve-wise, of the originals! I wonder whats the source of the master disc for these vinyls? And if they are of poorer quality comparing with original?
I know lately there's been some fakies JD CDs coming out like the so-called Polish SONIC label. Also early this year when I was in Malaysia, I picked up both UP & Closer CDs housed in individual digipak - printed just like the originals, but on some glossy digipak!
