Nice to see your classic avatar back, Ben. BigInOil mimicking your pose was one of the highlights of the trip for me.

Sounds pretty good. :) Barney fails to sing correctly with the background vocals at the end though. :evil4:

Another weird thing about the webcast was Dawn Zee miming for "Krafty", it sounded like more of Barney's pre-recorded background vox for me.

thanks nick.

TURN: Sounds very good (one of the best songs of WFTSC).

Thanks Nic!

Anyone know if Brixton was professionally recorded?

Thanks, Ricardo! I had a lot of fun and I hope you're enjoying your stay in sunny England. It was great meeting you. I think I might have to keep this as my avatar for a while now!

My most heartfelt thanks, Nic. Eight years ago I had been at my first New Order gig at the Manchester Apollo, one of the happiest moments in my life. This time I couldn't go and it's great to hear at least the performance of a new track. Sounds darker than on record, maybe even better... Hooky is on great form. Been a lot busy lately, I have 500 E Mail messages to check, but it seems I got back in time... I'd really love to hear Shadowplay too, I haven't heard that track played by New Order yet. I think they could do a great version of that classic.

Sorry for the clicks and pops in Shadowplay, might try to do something to fix them later, I can't really do it now since I'd have to reboot my machine.

I've thrown 31G as well, so enjoy :thumb:

Shadowplay its OK but it is strange because I have never heard it with another voice. It's definitely an Ian's song and it's very strange hear Barney sing it (stranger then LWTUA, atmosphere, isolation or Heart & soul). Ian sang it with a very low tone voice (I always remember the Granada TV version of this song). Maybe it's because I first became a JD fan and later a NO one. But it's a good live version. I've always liked Barney guitar in this song (NDF as well).

Warsaw is that kind of song (typical punk song) that everybody wants to sing and almost any person can sing it well. This live version it is better played and with better sound than the London peel tribute one.

And please don't call it 3 1 G.

I still have to understand how my previous message requesting Shadowplay comes after the one where you announce its upload... Anyway once again my immense thanks to you, Nic  :thumb:  As I guessed Shadowplay is a great performance, I just felt New Order would have made something great with it... who's playing the only guitar, Phil? Great job, fabulous guitar. And of course great to hear Warsaw again, Barney can finally allow himself some justified scream... ;)

Something weird is happening on this forum!!! My second message is appearing straight after my first, though quite some other posts have appeared meanwhile... Also the automatic log in doesn't work. :confused2:

It's getting crazier and crazier... now I see my messages grouped together in reversed chronological order!!! God knows where this one will appear... we just can check the time of posting... Nic please fix this mess!

Something very weird is happening - a post of mine on another thread literally moved down the thread, from being the most recent to having four between it, all of which were posted after mine! I didn't amend it, it just moved of its own accord.

The database has been upgraded last night, so maybe it fixed problems I had before that I patched along the way, will fix that tonight.

Many thanks for those, Turn especially, ah it just sends shivers down my spine everytime I listen to it and this is probably the 6th time in a row :)

EDIT: Who's doing the backing vocals on Turn? Sorry for sounding stupid on boards but I really didn't watch it on the net.

NO problem, we are well used to it by now.

Shadowplay would sound better if Barney didn't sing it in a cowboy voice.

The bass on Warsaw sounds great though.

I didn't pay attention to it, but Dawn Zee was there.

Jesus, Barney sounds well out of key on Turn. Was he as bad at Brixton? I cant remember as I was drunk and wasnt going for the technical angle.

Still sounds like 'sleepless' to me. (or maybe, he meant to sing that and realised too late so it sounded different?) I did psychology at college you know...........

He's not way out of key on 'Turn'. 'Shadowplay' is the dodgy one.

thanks a lot... would love more of the same & other such wonderments!!!

That's been troubling me. I have to say that I think it might be [whisper]pre-recorded vocals[/whisper] that he didn't sing over. Either that or it's some weird echo on the webcast sound file. Strange that it's only Barney's voice that repeats, not everything else.
