Let me preface this by saying that I've always thought of myself as a responsible downloader (at least after the initial euphoria of '90s napster wore off). I want the artists that i like to get paid, knowwhatimsayin?

At any rate, a tech-savvy friend is sending me software that records streaming stuff so you can rock the mp3. Basically, I want the Stolen Mix of TLU as well as few other things here and there.

I'm completely willing to paypal John B. a few bucks but I'm not worried about NO. I've already dropped a bundle on them over the years.

My qustions are:

how can I contact John B? anyone have a problem with stealing on this minor level?

cheers in avance.

hi there,

this should start you off: http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/

there is a link to several types of software that should help you decide, based on your operating system, platform, etc. (there are some freeware programs too).

just in case, for the 'stolen mix', you don't need to capture it. just right-click in your browser, and 'save as', it should save : neworder_thieveslikeus_stolenmix.rm with a filesize of 1.7M.

then you can play it back from your computer. if you want to convert it to an mp3/wav you will need another program to do that.
