Remember though, it's immediately after the German jaunt!
Hmmm, a tricky one. Which do I prefer, New Order, hours of travel and sauerkraut for breakfast, or New Order, not much travel and a shedful of Guinness for breakfast ?
Ireland it is. Can always do Spain and Belgium as well. Sorry Germany !

Do both, you poof!
they'll be supporting red hot chilli peppers at lansdowne road stadium. soun is shite , oasis were shite at lansdowne in 2000 and it costs 50 euros in . need less to say i wont go . it's disappointing to say the least that they are supporting a shitty group like the red hot chilli peppers when they could easily get a crowd of 5,000++ if they did their own show in ireland. its pathetic

Divert some French bank funds my way then, and I'll consider it ! Us Civil Service web professionals get about 50% what you lot get !

Okay, I'm such a w*nker (perhaps Karen was right after all?)
I've booked meself up for Dubh Linn.
Well, why not?
No fcuking standing left, mind. Seats. Ugh.
this is such a let down.why the fuck could they not just do their own gig,say 2 nights at the olympia or 1 in the point.they havent played here in 9 years, but come back to support the fuckin chili peppers in fuckin landsdowne road.i've seen a couple of gigs there before, absolutely impossible to enjoy.
On second thoughts - I ain't paying 10p to watch them support shite like the Chilis, so maybe I will go to Germany after all !
hope it wasnt my comments that put u off the idea zinedine.if you've not been to dublin before,go,you'll have a great time.i think i might go after all.i'll proabably be waiting a while for a proper n.o. gig in ireland so it's a case of take it or leave it i suppose.but 50 euros? ouch! they had better play a long set and here to stay
Not at all - I love Dublin, but ain't forking out a load of money to watch New Order do ten songs supporting a band I hate hot on the heels of seeing them doing the same set twice in Germany. Plus, all the standing room has gone already !
I'd still be going if I wasn't so far away (Australia) but it kind of bugs me that New Order are supporting a band ... Like haven't they been around long enough and earnt the respect of enough people to only be doing headline shows now ?
On a more upbeat note, here's the coup...
June 25 7am, Luton Airport (still can't say that without thinking Lorraine Chase)
June 25 12.30 World Cup semi-final in Oirish boozer. Engerland v Oireland (Engerland B)?! ok, maybe not.
June 25 Arvo - Lager & Guiness sesh
June 25 Eve - The Order. Depart before RHCP turn up. Return to Temple Bar & find a boozer that will allow a party of more than 1 English male into it's premises. Break for the Border can be a good night out.
June 26, back to Blighty in time for 2nd World Cup semi.
Return flights only £50 with Ryaniar, at the mo.
NOTE FOR SHUG & GRAEME FERG: The World Cup is a football tournament ;)
Al, I think I could handle both but i'm not sure whether i'd still have a job and i may very well have to sell everything i own! Ireland could be quite cheap as i have folks in the emerald isle's capital and could perhaps get a cheap Ryanair flight? What do you think our chances are of convincing the RHCP muppets who obviously stampeded to get all the standing tickets to let us have their standing tickets for NO (they probably don't want to see them anyway)on the promise that we get them the very best crushed at the front spots for later? Then we could just meander off and leave 'em to their novelty rubbish?
Just an idea but obviously not a very well thought out one as yet....

You can fly Ryanair for 50 notes return. Well, actually it's about 25 notes, but the tax is fairly hefty.
The infamous Alex is joining us for a drink in Mancland tomorrow - think Andy Robinson's mailed him with the German details.
Big gig goer, and bootlegger. Hooky's always talking to him from the stage - usually calling him a c***.
Won't have much time to arrange anything rest of today and tomorrow. Is it safe to assume if i'm in Dry between 1:00 and 3:00 pm I might bump into someone to have a bevvy with? I'm only there for the afternoon session but hope to meet most of those going.
You leaving at 3pm, then? Me and JG don't arrive till 3.30!
Dunno what the arrangements are? Just remembered that I texted Liv last night, actually. Though don't think I got a reply?

Seems dippy to me to bother coming back here from Germany for 2 chuffing days then go to Irlanda! I shall endeavour to find out prices.....
well, at least it is closer to the east coast of USA...gee how about a 1 nighter to Boston or NYC...
