To you all British citizens and others, why not cross the Channel (again!) to come and see NO performing live in June 2002 in Paris -le Zénith?

These news come from today's "Les Inrockuptibles" magazine, page 9. FYI, "Le Zénith" is much larger than "l'Olympia" - say, about 6000 compared to 2500/3000 max.

(oh, and sorry for crushing both your England & Scotland rugby teams this year :).. Ireland left, still..)

Thought this gig was supposed to be 'hush-hush' as a warm-up for Finsbury?

However, the date I was given was June 7th and if you look closely at that date for the Zenith ... it's got RONAN KEATING on!

New Order doing another 'quality' support slot then?! ;)

Though it does say that Ronan Keating is TBC.....

Where do we get tickets ? The venue website didn't help much !

Pitch, is this a standing venue then?

Had a look at the ticketnet website and they appear to have a different set-up according to whoever's playing at the venue.

Difficult to say - the Zenith site has got some gubbins about the technical infrastructure of the place Here, but I couldn't understand it.

I am most definitely going to this - Roland Keating or not! ;)

That makes two of us then. All we need now is tickets. You still haven't sent me your address for the book, have you ? Nothing's arrived.

Just spoke to Alex - agents in Paris are still arguing over the actual dates. Nothing is confirmed yet.

Er, obviously I'll be going, whatever the date. England v Argentina in a quaint Parisian bistro? Sounds idyllic to me. Let's just hope it's the SEVENTH!

I'd actually prefer the Weds rather than the Fri so I can have the rest of the week off work and ease up to the FP gig.

Croissants with a win over the enemy. What could be better ?

ticketnet.fr - or if you're Manc you turn up at the venue on the day and attempt a blag!

Think I may going to this as i will be in the area, could give an indication of the set list for Finsbury i guess.

I should imagine it'll be the Finsbury set, track for track.

Except World in Motion, of course! ;)

Ease up? England vs Argentina on the Friday, Tyson-Lewis on the Saturday? Certainly not a week for easing up - warming up, just possibly!!

Talking of gigs, there's also a nice article with Martin Moscrop in this weeks Time Out.

The venue can be a standing one - depending on its config that night. Check here to have a look - page in French only, sorry (but is it a pb for you, Allen?)

Is it me, or is this a berluddy big venue for the Order?

And would require a smaller, more intimate venue as a warm-up, for this warm-up? ;)

And - no - I don't know anything!

6,000 ? Not that big is it ? Maybe there will be a warm-up to this warm-up. Pity we can't get tickets yet - doesn't appear to be a ticket sales link at infoconcert, and it isn't showing up yet on ticketnet.

6'000 for New Order? In France? Surely that's fairly big? The Olympia gigs last year didn't exactly sell out overnight!

The date still isn't set, so still no confirmation.

Never thought of it like that, not having seen them in France before. I just assumed the whole world snapped up the tickets as soon as they become available !

I was told it was the 7th but hey what would I know! :moose: Perhaps that's the wrong venue as it was supposed to be hush hush? I'm sure it will all come out eventually. Hope some more gals are going though otherwise it's a chuffing blokey sports fest with a little gig in between! Hmph!

Sorry Tim lad my addy will be in the post tonight, just got a brain lke a sieve! Again - :moose:

Don't send it to London then - won't be there for a week ! I'll e-mail you with my Worcester address.

Both Olympia gigs were sold out, actually -but not overnight, you're right. I guess they could easily fill the 6'000 "seats" in le Zénith..

About the date, well now there's a lad who pretends in the French boards that the gig has been moved to May, 26th (would be nice, for it is my birthday, but who knows..?)

Actually. With 6000 there, might we expect perhaps 200 Frenchmen dancing down the front this time around?

Whoah, steady ;)

200 Frenchmen and a semi naked Gordie? ;)
