The Vikings have just claimed Fac 383 as our own.

We were gonna request it, but that's not the Viking way.

If anyone knows where Tony Wilson is, can they pass on the news. Thanks.

I do hope 3-8-3 doesn't have any Sellick undertones though. :skeptic:

Someone better tell the people at the Factory Discography site aswell:

"FAC 377 - FAC 386 Not allocated / Unknown" :spit:

Does no-one trust me? :viking:

You do realise that me, you and Mike have to make another appointment with a Tatooist though :eek3:

Wilson is probably used to it by now. Warners/London have been raping and piliging Factory for 15 years...

Get him to sign this! :deal:

“New Order have a certain hardcore of fans called the Vikings who follow them round the world.” (Roger Lyons, Sound on Sound, April 2004).

“The New Order Vikings are very longstanding fans – they’ve been coming to see us for 20, 25 years. You turn up in Texas and you see this lot down the front.”(Peter Hook, Q Classic: the story of Manchester).

To Whom It May Concern:This is to confirm that the Vikings have been allocated the following official Factory Catalogue Number: FAC383Signed on behalf of Factory: _____________________________

Well done Shug - couldn't have put it better myself.

I hear Bill Holding has been commissioned to re-work the Veritas logo - the dog with the flaming torch.

The old logo doesn't conform to current health and safety legislation.

Once the dog is fitted with the appropriate protective equipment (asbestos-free, of course) I plan to have it emblazoned on my back.

Nice one Shug, i think it's only right you all have your own Fac Number. Adopt it, squatters rights an all that!

Twas a "gang" decision, whilst we are all trying to agree on the new designs for the October tour. I merely said we should just steal that Fac number. It would have been done officially a few months back, but Al was more interested in getting beer than waiting to see Mr Wilson after one oh his Factory Nights

Shug's being a bit modest there.

It was actually MY idea.

Well it's probably better than walking up to him and telling him he's a cunt, like the real Ian Curtis did!

Fair enough, the first site that prints us as Fac 383 - you give them £40

Ahem. Al was actually the one who wrote Wilson a six-page letter at the start of the year, complete with badges in a presentation box, plus photocopied testimonials, requesting a FAC number from one Mr Wilson. No gang necessary.

Er, but Wilson never actually replied.

Perhaps I too should start calling him a cunt at every opportunity.

I was talking about the THEFT of the FAC number....that was me that was. :uhoh: :D

But yer right, this whole fucking thing was your idea, I used to be a nice normal lad who would never contemplate drinking or taking any kind of illegal substance, now I'm a fucked up alcoholic with drug tendencies and a fcuking tattoo. Ya cunt.

Nope. I still genuinely like the bloke.

Let's all be honest, where would be today without him.

There'd be no Factory, probably no New Order, no NewOrderOnline.. .

Er, I see your point! WILSON IS A CUNT!

Stop fuckin bickering and let's get pillaging!

We'll only stop bickering if you admit that Wilson's a cunt :deal: :D

I don't mind him.

He once called me a cunt though - to my face.

In Dry bar.

You know it's coming don't you...

I emailed the guy who runs the Factory Discography site, his reply:

Now there's a sensible post-Fac number claim...

Keep me informed...

A quick email to inform you that FAC383 has been claimed by The Vikings, New Order's loyal supporters. The notion is being proposed to Tony Wilson in the coming weeks. Cheers

Mr Sultan is the man (de man) who needs to be told.

I believe he runs the 'official' Factory site now, no?!

WIM? Or another site? To be honest, in WIM's present state it's hardly worthy of a FAC number is it? Barely updated, missing pages, broken links, patchy design not updated since the late nineties etc.

I think David admitted as much in his forums  Not having a dig at him but he's obviously not that bothered about running a NO site these days.

I whipped up a logo for yoose during lunch (look left before crossing, and for those in the UK too). It didn't come out to good as I had a sarnie in my normal left hand and had to make it all right-handed and shit.

Cheers

Nice, very nice.

This ceoitainly isn't a thread that I have any place to comment in. But there are some very flash avatars around this site.

spacejunk the last Black themed Monaco Revenge Shine one that -think- you were running was sharp. great Style with the 383 work.
Hibster- D- Really enjoying this flashy Steve Morris pic. Also love the music tickers that a few use here. BiginDiamonds the updated banner is very flash.

Ta, fellas.

If it makes you look twice, then it's doing its job. That's what a logo is all about. I'll make a few more samples with slight rearrangements for yoose.

Cheers.
