Wolverhampton gig

A good mate and myself will be going to the Wolverhampton gig at the civic hall.

Anyone live or know the city pls tell me where the best place is to have a drink beforehand (where are others going?)and also where the best place is to stay preferably in stumbling distance from venue

I am a tour operator but don't deal with the city very much but I do know that the Britannia hotel is supposed to be a real s... hole! cheers

Thanks John..DJ set at the Canal club would be ideal so I can celebrate my 35th in style.....however I read that it may be cancelled due to not enough interest.Are tickets still for sale as I couldn't find out that information?
