Here To Stay? Its not even arrived!!

Just been into Verging and Your Price aint My Price at lunch to pick up Here To Stay,

Oh they had Arsis, PayAsUGo and other various shitty new releases but not bloody HTS!!!

most pissed off, will have to go to bloody oxford st on the way home i spose... :(

thanks to your post realised how lax i had been today, now popped out to local hmv & picked up hts x 3, bad cover version & doves along with the david byrne single.

would have been first time not got the order single on day of release for ages - on way back in collared by hr manager re purchases (big jd fan) who called me a teenager for getting all three versions.

I just got the HTS cd's and the Doves 'un. the bloke at the till just came out with 'Do you like Nick Cave', and as I was on a different planet at the time I thought he as trying to chat me up or something. Apparently his cover of Disco 2000 is very good, not as though I cared a great deal.

waiting for mine via mail...no store around here will have it

I got HTS on 2xCD, doves on CD and 10", Oasis on CD and Pulp CD (the one with the video mix). Now all i need is a new amp and i can listen to them!

Gottem all formats in HMV Leicester Sq yesterday in the end :)

Apparently I picked up the last DVD copy in the shop as well as the Nirvarna throwback of an assistant pointed out.

I AM PISSED OFF !!!

...because the official german release date for the "Here To Stay" Single seems to be (like Amazon Germany says) the 3rd of JUNE !!!

They'll sound the same next week as this week, and after all I've got all the tracks already on my PC.

I admit i only got to see 24hr PP last night, due to a rather hectic schedule last week.

However on reflection having seen it, although its quite interesting and boasts some excellent performances (Wilson,Curtis,Coogan), the distinct lack of NewOrder rather muted my pleasure of it.

And yes the documentary on channel 4 the other week was MUCH better from a NO perspective.

Me too, but CD1 is not available at Amazon.co.uk and my order wasn't dispatched so far.

I'm holding out for the full Doves album at the end of the month. This one track single lark just seems a trophy for collectability's sake. The 10" sounds a better idea, but that's probably in all likelihood sold out now. Stevie's probably bought up the entire stock of those!

According to an interview with NME on BBC Choice last nite (re:that top 50) the Doves single was deleted on the day of its release, Oasis is guaranteed a number 1 spot and Doves will go in at number 2.

Hmmm.... vested interest perhaps??

No no... as I said in a previous thread buying Doves is probably the most essential purchase this week. Better at least one Gretton band get to number one and as New Order won't (sadly) then if Doves keep Oasis off number one... bingo!! And it's only 99p and you get the video on the CD. I might get another Doves today as I'm sure they'll be collectable soon.

Well, the status of the order has changed since yesterday: now it's "dispatching soon". It's strange because Amazon.co.uk usually offers a prompt delivery.

just checked up on my order; according to AmazonUK, it's shipped out to me complete as of today.

I won't deny i have more than one copy and a foreign one too. I can't help it. I am addicted.

At least my "24 Hour Party People" Soundtrack has arrived today. Had to get it as an expensive Import...it features the "Full Length Vocal" of "Here To Stay". The Moby track is quite cool, a nice rendition. I didn't know that besides NewOrder and Billy Corgan also John Fruiscante (Red Hot Chili Peppers) played guitar on this track...
