Received mine today. Cracking artwork by the way. I'll give it a few listens and review accordingly although ICB is excellent by Mr Bentley.

Playing it now...![]()
Love the artwork Nic - the image and the packaging fit together well. ![]()
Standout tracks for me are Dream Attack (O'ou), ICB (C Bentley) and Lonesome Tonight (Kremlin).
Edit: And Turn (Glasnost) and Doubts Even Here (Phantom West)...etc, etc..!
Kudos to Mr Bentley for the mastering job and to everyone involved in the competition. For an item as good as this to be produced shows what a fantastic community we have here on nool.
Looking forward to listening to the bonus CD later. Well done to all.

WHEY!! Got mine today Nic.Love it.Stand out tracks C BENTLEY'S "ICB",YOKOHAMA'S "Run",SEROTONIN "No Love Lost",TIN GOD'S "YSF" and Pottsy's "The Village"
I like the RetroForward cd too.Got to say ISOGO SHOUJO's "Cosmo Clock 21" wouldn't sound out of place as a bonus track on LOWLIFE!!!!!![]()
Not really a review but I must say that the quality is very good especially also the bonus CD. It has it's own atmosphere it seems.
My favourites (doesn't mean I don't like the rest though) on first listen are
Bonus:
- Glasnost - False
- Labster - Ki Omos Emai Edo
- C.Bentley/kREMLIN - Tell Me Again
- O'ou - What can I say?
- Sunrise Before Dawn - Commonwealth (track 18)
C2:
- The Village
- Lonesome Tonight
- Behind Closed Doors
- ICB
- Dream Attack
- Doubts Even Here
Ok, since nobody is saying it....
The artwork is special, you can actually chose your favorite. Since nobody talked about it, well... here you go ;)
The "hidden" track on the bonus CD is a remix of Commonwealth done by the Hillberg brothers (O'ou, DJ Ionic and Atomic Boy) who won the remix competition. It was not written on the CD to double credit Sunrise Before Dawn. Due to the lack of fund, the CD has no sleeve, so credits will be on a special website very soon.

Had noticed the artwork and also noticed I liked the default (your artwork) more than when the competition was going on. Maybe there is a difference between a design on a web page and the real thing.
The remix of Commonwealth sounds slightly better to me than the original. It's snappier, brighter (i'm not a musician so can't give any professional terminology for this) to listen too.
I got mine in the post yesterday (in Cork, Ireland).
Great job with the packaging/media.
I've only listened once and watched some of the videos on the extra DVD so no review.

Jonathan.
P.S. yeah it was great to see the other cover artwork in the inside of the sleeve.
Oh, mine arrived today! still about 4 hours before FINALLY having them in my hands when I'll be back home!
I take back my earlier critisism and have the say the tracks are all growing on me.
How do I play The Village video though? Cant find it on th CD at all!![]()
Recieved it today, along with the bonus CD and DVD. Love the album to bits! Absolute standout tracks, in my opinion, would have to be: ICB, Behind Closed Doors, No Love Lost, Mr. Disco and 1963; but the whole album is excellent as a whole too. Even The Village, which I still can't always be in the mood for, has grown on me.
Can't wait for Community III! ;)
still not managed to listen to the covers...
but fuck me...I quite liked the Glasnost original (False)...Pottsy's Warm and Happy Soul...
but the best of the bunch, for me, is Flight's Strange Little Girl...didn't get to catch their performance at Blue Saturday, but I did catch their soundcheck...and my roomie, Marcus, likes Strange Little Girl as well...top effort lads!!! and here's to seeing you guys perform at some point in the future!!!

You're on a mac or on a pc? on a pc, it's autostart when you put the CD in, on mac, you have to load a html file located on the CD, that's what WenOrder told me.

Yup, Flight is the "backup band" we got on the CD due to Serotonin dropping out at the last minute, I insisted for that track... too bad they didn't play it on NOOL day, but it's a very good song.
Quality band.
Got mine today. I have not had a chance to listen to it yet. I will need to put it on my Ipod, as I never seem to have time to listen to cd's anymore.
The cover looks much better in person. I never new there was color in it. I thought it was B&W. Looks good.
I did look at the dvd. Nice to see the videos. The puppit video is my favorite.
I was a little disappointed that the Noolday party was not on there. I was looking forward to seeing more of the action.

That will be on a DVD of its own, for charity.
Not had time to listen to anything except the Community 2 cd... which is brilliant. Pottsy's Village is class and the ones that made the cut did this website proud. Well done
Are some of the DVD's being shipped separately? I got the CD and the bonus material but no DVD.

Yes, it's my fault I couldn't produce fast enough... I should be shipping it as soon as Mike give me the addresses.

You're on a mac or on a pc? on a pc, it's autostart when you put the CD in, on mac, you have to load a html file located on the CD, that's what WenOrder told me.
On a PC. Windows and Explorer show that theres 17 tracks on there but I thought the video to The Village might show as track 18. As a non-pc person when you say autostart do you mean right click on the start icon? Do I need to have specific software in order to see the video?

You need Flash, which you should already have. on the PC, load Windows Explorer, right click on the CD and you should see "Execute"... pick that.
Auto-Start meant it should start when you insert the CD automatically.
For anyone that uses macs or anything other than windows, there is an html file you can double click which will load the video.
There was a mac projector, but that got corrupted in the mastering process
Quick reminder.
My pick: Doubts Even Here Almanso's pick: Behind Closed Doors WenOrder's pick: 1963
Hooky's picks: No Love Lost, Blue Monday, ICB and Ruined In A Day
Rest is the top 10 (well, 8 since 2 were Hooky's picks)
