Do any of you old timers remember way back to 1999 when I started listening to New Order? They were really good back then, not like this New millenium Order with their backing tapes and reliable setlists and Joy Division songs. Yes, they were a band that really MEANT SOMETHING back then. Cutting-edge and all that....
During my first New Order gig I was sent to bed without dessert...and with no Playstation either! Needless to say, I've attended countless New Order gigs in a similar manner since then, and I've followed them since the early days when the NME website began fawning over them. Now that was a band really WORTH downloading--not like today. Made you happy to get out of bed in the morning, iron your trenchcoat (for the Ian Curtis fashion tip), and get whisked off to class by your mam. Yes, those were the days....
