Just watched a video-tape of New Order from Jools Holland 2001 and was very impressed with Hookeys backing singing during Crystal. It really added to the song. Come to think of it, I think Hookeys backing singing has been an under-rated achievement in New Orders career...

I've seen the Jools Holland performance as well. However I was more impressed with Hooky's backing vocals for True Faith at the Reading '98 gig where everyone totally played the f*** out of that tune - and the whole set IMO. Shame I never made that gig
