My copy of this spectacularly ill-conceived mix is the 64 kbps version recorded from a wax cylinder, so I can't tell for sure...
The faux strings behind the "devil round for tea" line sound like the string sample used on "Player in the League."
Can anyone confirm/deny/feign interest/spare a quarter?
I've got the same copy. I couldn't find a better one on AuralMilkyWay. I must have listened to it only once because of the crap quality.
I have it on a promo CD but I've only listened to it about twice. I'll try to remember to give it a listen for that.
I have this "20 Years of New Order" Promo-CD with this David Kahne-Mix. Well, it's less rocking, more on beats and samples. Nice keyboards in the background. A different interpretation, but an interesting mix though...
