What's your top 5 of NO songs you didn't care much for at first but now enjoy regularly?
Mine:
- True Faith
- Ruined In A Day
- Round & Round (now one of my faves, due to the UK single version)
- Fine Time
- Everyone, Everywhere

Mine:
Love Vigilantes
I can't imagine not liking it now, but I definitely remember not being keen at the time.

More than 10 words as well!
He must've been concentrating dead hard on the keyboard while jabbing the keys with one finger ![]()
In my case the first NEW ORDER songs took ages to get used to and the main ones of note are TEMPTATION prOcession THEN LATER CONFUSION
These days........
SOMEONE LIKE YOU VIETNAM
But due to DON and SHUG ranting on about the last one i gave it several plays whilst being completely bolloxed ......and it is GREAT. Turbo Shandies my arse!
Hey Joe,hated it to start with, now enjoy it a bit more.
Murder,its growing on me.
Draculas Castle, didn't like it-fucking despise it now!
Hurt TPK Mr Disco World Confusion
TPK only on the grounds that for years I just liked it, whereas it's now fast becoming my top NO track... Confusion on the grounds that I didn't hear the original version for years...
Snorri xxx
Like I mentioned before, when I realised that "Working Overtime" might be among the last of NO's output, I thought, Hey, maybe it's better than I originally thought it was.
I used to be somewhat apathetic toward "Leave Me Alone," but one day listening to it I got hit with how beautiful it is, and, as Linda Richman of SNL would say, it made me a little verklempt.
Most of Technique took time for me to appreciate! :\ohwell:
Krafty...Liked it at first, buzz on it lately. Weirdo Vietnam Lonesome Tonight The Village Sunrise Elegia were ones that never grasped me straight off,but over time..
I would have to say the whole of Substance, which I bought on the strength of True Faith, having never heard of New Order pre-1987.
I didn't really properly appreciate it until 2 years later, when having bought and instantly liked Technique, I decided to give it another go. I then gradually got to like TPK in particular, which I now think is fantastic and my favourite New Order song.
I can't really think of 5,Your Silent Face is definately one, never disliked it,just thought was ok,now I think it's just beautiful.I went off BM completely thru' complete overkill, but know appreciate it massively for what it is,groundbreaking.Songs I was never keen on,I'm still not, tho' there's not many:\ohwell: ![]()
I have to admit that I didn't really like Technique when I first heard it. "6/10" was my considered opinion after the first few listens. Ahem, this is now my all time favourite album.
Songs wise:
Ceremony (until I'd heard it live!) Brutal EGG Dracula's Castle (once I got past the daft name) Subculture (Once I heard the Low Life & not Substance version)
Dracula's Castle (once I got past the daft name)
So with that, I think that makes me the only person who like the name "Dracula's Castle".

Dracula's Castle Power, Corruption & Lies (yep, the whole album, love it now) As It Is When It Was (thought it was crap first time, love it now)
