Ah, it's Mrs.Disco's Hooky counterpart (there had to be one).
The question is who would win in the stalking face off?
Who's got the bigger pair of binoculars?!?
Hey let me OUT of this ![]()

So, is it true that NO doesn't rehearse before a gig? That would explain the autocue. Are we presuming here or it's a fact?

Did they ever rehearse? Seems like half the stuff is pre-programmed anyway, plus now they actually have a guitarist who know how to play the guitar. Those old 80s bootlegs/videos are sure a hell alot more interesting thou than the current shows
oh shit and i remember one drunken night last summer i said in less polite terms that i would allow them to do me cos i loved them so much.
new trends eh? oh well new order fuck off as well. don't you agree blunderbus??!

Yes, those early bootlegs are a lot more interesting but Reading '98 was awesome though.
Hi! I'm new here. I could never hate New Order. Maybe get bored with them, but never hate them.

I have been a fan since the 80's me I would never turn my back on them even when they split up in 1993. I really applaud this band for their talents.

Complete bollocks. They've always rehearsed before tours etc - you can't often rehearse during tours, so you have to admire their bravery in insisting on playing a different set every night until 1989. Could anyone explain how we managed to get the likes of Who's Joe, These Days and Guilt Is A Useless Emotion one the last tour if they didn't rehease?
The autocue is nothing to do with rehearsals, it's down to Bernard having a poor memory in recent years.

Erm, how do you know, and how do you quantify it? Did Hooky actually say "Yes, you are my biggest 'fan'", or is it a title you invented? ![]()

Steve Albini on why he hates New Order:
"I do remember liking little things about New Order, like the occasional guitar line, bass ornament or vocal delivery, but I remember more clearly all the stuff I disliked:
*Linn Drum benching a fantastic and unique drummer. *Defining a supremely phony sound that became ubiquitous. *Sequencer as principle performer *Roland Jazz Chorus *Mock-scratching, DDL loops and symphonic stab samples
Joy Division was bleak, timeless (not of its time) and energetic. New Order was urbane, self-conciously modern, lazy and kitschy. Being unkind, I could call it club music. And detestable.
Although I haven't listened to them enough recently to be sure of it, I'm inclined to say fuck New Order. They knew what they were capable of and did this Arthur Baker crap instead."
