I was in Amoeba Records in Berkeley, CA earlier this week when I can across both Blue Monday - 95 cd singles for $1.99 each. I already have all the mixes except for "The Brain Mix" on one and the "Hardfloor Dub" on the other. So I'm left thinking, do I get the cds, or go buy some lunch. I choose the latter. I mean, these singles have probably been there for a long time. So when I finally return a few hours later, the cds are gone. Now I'm left kicking myself, looking for these singles on ebay (Over-priced). So I'm asking, anyone with these cd singles, would you have chosen the pizza, or the singles? Right now, I'm suffering from buyers remorse.

you eat everyday... you could have starved yourself for a couple of hours and lived fine... but now can you live with yourself...?
Pizza...I think you can live without the Brain mix & Hardfloor dub,I can't ever remember playing them since '95,they don't offer anything special.& I'm sure some nice person on here can mail you them,I would myself if I'd have mp3'd them! Personal taste tho' I s'pose
as we're talking Blue Monday here, I would have gone for the pizza
and no, I don't own the singles. I'm coping just fine without them :D
This is a real no-brainer. Pizza every day, every time. Wouldn't buy Blue Monday 95 ahead of anything! In fact, if it were a choice between buying Kershaw a beer and buying Blue Monday 95 for myself, it would have to be the beer!

Yeah, definitely pizza - Blue Monday 95 (if you seriously want those mixes) will turn up again, a pizza is for now! 
The Hardfloor Mix is the only track worth having off Blue Monday-95; the Brain Mix and Hardfloor Dub aren't exactly earth shattering so you're not missing much.
If you're not a collector just get some kind soul on here to send you MP3s!

Normally yes, but there are enough BM remixes that make me really not care that much...now if it had a seperate new track as a b-side, then I would choose the music....but in this case....
PIZZA
Well, my thinking at the time was "just another Blue Monday Mix. I have so many already." But then, I thought I should just buy them. Too late. I appreciate everyone who supported me on my pizza choice. At least I'm not the only one who would have made this choice. I still can't believe that someone else just strolled in and bought them. Berkeley was dead that day. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
The Pizza was a big ol' slice from Blondie's, a famous local spot. Pepperoni. It was so good. BUT, I know those of you who are also choosing the pizza have probably sampled the the Brain Mix and Hardfloor Dub of Blue Monday. I'm left still looking at the menu of mixes. Bad Stomach

Dear ! I think I know the place ! Still, you have missed nothing. A pizza from there is much more tasteful than these mixes...
Mind, I have the (rest of) issue with a second cd full of Blue Monday remixes. Never went through in one time...
These days I tend to by any New Order product I see that I haven't got no matter how crap. I know I'll regret it if I don't.
I'm just shocked that someone else picked it up in the time you had your pizza...
Believe me, if it's just those two mixes, the pizza was a far better choice (and this is from someone who collects EVERYTHING New Order and side projects have done).
In fact, the only thing the Brain mix is noted for, is the 10 seconds worth of the Sunkist advert lyrics at the very end of the song - i.e. "How does it feel when a new day has begun, when you're drinking in the sunshine, sunkist is the one"...

Now that I know the "Brain Mix" has Sunkist ad in it, I've got to hear it. Anyone want to throw me a slice of it and the Dub and I'll gladly buy you a slice of Blondie's Pizza next time you are in Berkeley. Then we can have Taste/Listen test. Maybe those of you who have a copy of the cd should try this at home and truly see which is better, Pizza or the 95 mixes. I'll bet the guy (or girl) who nabbed those cds before me is doing that right now.

I'd have gone without the pie and giggled over yet another silly noontime music purchase. Even for BM, which I could do without hearing remixed or covered for another 20 or 30 years. When I see NO for cheap and I don't have whatever it is, I pounce without regard for the state of my stomach.

It is literally only the last 10 seconds of the song that the Sunkist lyrics appear, and that's it! The rest is an acid-affair (not in itself that bad, I've spent the past 20-odd years listening & dancing to acid tracks). As for the Hardfloor Dub, well if you've got the Hardfloor Mix, you're not missing much - it's the Hardfloor Mix without the vocals (essentially)!

Blondies Pizza everytime, but I'm still short of the Hardfloor dub. Anyway, I would gladly take you up on the Pizza/tunes conversation/eating extravaganza though when I am next in Berkeley, which is looking like the fall.

Well I'd sure love it if someone were willing to "share" these two tracks. I hate to spend $10.00+ on ebay for two tracks that may or may not be equal to a piece of pizza.
