Feature on page 16 'The Briefing' summarises the current situation. Doesn't add anything new but NOOL's 'bustling forums' get a mention with Ally, Minx and Pumped all quoted.

Micro-scan of the piece here...

http://www.nme.com/magazine

There's also a piece in the latest edition of Music Week where a Solicitor provides a professional opinion on whether Hooky has a case or not. Basically suggests it depends on what they've agreed between them previously (I assume that means in writing) and that it will be very costly. No shit. Better get on with Freebass then.

can we get a decent readable scan of that please.

How totally dull!

...and Hooky's 'case' depends on the others using the name for anything new, which they seem to have no plans for.

Then just stick your face REALLY close to the screen....

I'm gonna go back to bed...

They quoted my "So, we're into Smiths territory" comment and named me as "Ally Skullcruncher".

ALLY SKULLCRUNCHER!!!

Sir, you are definitely the leader of the Vikings with a fucking name like that...

Now I know why they didn't quote me...they would be seen as supporting terrorism...

This just keeps getting better ALL THE TIME!!!

I love you all...

So Ally is a Skullcruncher and you are just a plain old Minx...

I'm gonna start a magazine and just copy and paste everything you guys put in here....

Oh yeah, and since when did producing an error strewn re-hash of previously available information in a templated format used in books on other bands, lead to qualification as an 'expert'?!.

Wonder if NME identified the expert themsleves or if NOs press officer referred them in that direction . Now someone like AHWs (or ATRs!) opinion would carry a bit more weight in this situation. Not many know the inter-band dynamics better than him.

Totally agree.

I had a bit of a raise eyebrow moment at seeing who said "expert" was as well.

It does paint Hooky in rather a bad way. Probably best all round if they all either said nothing, or hired the MENA, erected a boxing ring and sorted this out like gentlemen.

How the hell could you guys even read that???

Nah, they didn't quote you because you critisize everyone but New Order. Probably the same reason why I was not quoted.:evil4:

Cool! Then the NOOLers would start a thread on what you printed on the magazine and you would copy and paste for the next issue and goes on and on. What's the title of the magazine? Go to hell and I will go to Texass??

Not surprising given that in his blog he said that he'd been stitched up by the nme journalist, surprised that they give a link to said blog though

Now that would be a popular magazine. Not that anyone would really actually read it, but I'm sure it would have a nice cover... right? :evil4:

Apparently, being the webmaster here would have qualified me as an expert too, I just didn't see the mail soon enough!

And god knows many people on here are a LOT more expert than me.
