yes but i didn't get the fifth disc, despite the sticker on the front proclaiming it was the ltd edition 5 disc set, bloody HMV, and i refuse to pay a fortune for it from ebay, other than that, it's not a bad collection of stuff i already had (apart from some live stuff)

Yes love it

I opened it at the counter just to make sure it had the 5 cds.

I'm not sure if I did... sure thing is I have 3 copies, 1 UK, 2 US (one still sealed)

I think I bought the UK one off Amazon.

All 3 have the bonus CD.

I bought Retro (5 disc) and Heart and Soul....ripped them to 320Kbps mp3, stuck them back in their boxes, wrapped them in plastic and stashed them. Why? COs all my original NO stuff from the 80's and 90's is fucked, ruined and wore out, so I wanted SOMETHING to show the grandkids (someone else's let's face it).

Yep I did! at employee discount whilst at Tower Records (damn do I miss that!!) It made a 64.99 set into a 43 dollar set (discount was 5% above store cost) I had not listened to NO in years and needed something to remind me

Yeah I bought it. Listened to all 5 discs back to back once and put it away. Never even bothered to rip it.

No I didn't nick it. I just like my bargains

I ended up getting three copies cos the dance CD was fcut on each one.

In fact, I think it was fcut on the 3rd one and I just thought 'fcuk it' and kept it anyways.

I bought it twice. Both times with the 5th CD. My 1st copy was stolen when scrotes got into my car.

I never ripped them to MP3, as someone kindly put together International2, which I preferred.

and the Dance cd is actually the only one worth listening too  The other 4 are a waste of time.

Yeah, and at full price. Like most on here im stupid enough to part with my cash merely because its got those words "New" & "Order" on the front.

I got the London Records 5 CD version for Xmas in 2002.

Got it when it came out - worth it for the live disc and the extra CD, and I was especially glad that the Australian "Paradise" remix finally turned up on CD :thumb:

Of course, it could have been a lot better, but they're probably saving all that for future remastered double CD editions that will inevitably turn up, once the Joy Division/Control stuff's been done & dusted...

We're talking about Warners here who's only intention is to make a profit by selling the same stuff twice! :p

If I was a betting man (and every band is doing it nowadays), there will definitely be double-CD, remastered, reissues of New Order stuff with some "bonus" tracks of some description - be they remixes, compilation tracks, live tracks, or something...!

I bought it when it came out to make sure I got the extra disc. I really wanted it for the original versions of Confusion and Temptation. I listen to the first disc a lot, it's the best single disc best of out there.

I think just about everyone on here bought it when it came out and spent the next few months whinging about it

Yes......I went out and bought the 5 disc UK import when in materialized over here. I listen to the thing periodically.

Got it for the original Confusion, the Ricic mix of Paradise and the 5th disc... at least :hooky: signed mine in November.

No. But I would like to have the 5 disc edition.

Agreed , there was loads of bitching about it which in the end resulted in the 5th disc being added very late , true?

Have the 5 cd set, but as with much of my stuff, ripped it then sold it...no reason to have cds anymore.

I had it bought for me, but if I hadn't, I'd have probably bought it anyway.

yes I bought the 5 disc version. Love it, yes it could have been better, but it is what it is.

Yes, I bought it, and the longer I look at it, the more I hate it.

Missed opportunity par excellence.

call yerself fans. true fans wouldn't touch that shite.:spit:

Bought the 5 disc set on the day of release, left it sealed, opened it last year to find out I had 2 of the pop discs!

5 disc version for me. Primarily bought for the bonus disc and a couple of the tracks esp Paradise Racic mix which I have on vinyl.

YES but i only ever played with the BOX!:hat:

It got me back into the band. I didn't buy Get Ready. Forgotten all about them, to be honest.

Whether that's a good thing... discuss.

Yeah got mine last year off E-Bay.Paid about £20 for the 5 Disc jobby.Do agree it was a missed opportunity, but the book's good and the Dance/live/bonus disc are good.

Considering it's sealed, I don't think so :p

Though if I remember right, the US promo I got had the bonus disk apart.

Not sure about that...

The bonus disc is worth it, Disc 1 (or is it 2) is worth it because Brutal is on it and I didn't buy The Beach OST.

Of course Disk 4 is worth it, though it's not a complete show, but considering how rare it is for NO to release live stuff, it's better than nothing.

As for Disc 3... beside Paradise's remix, that's just a bunch of edited remixes available elsewhere.

I bought the London 5 CD set.

And I don't care whether someone thinks I'm a "true fan" or not.

5CD set. Wouldn't've bothered with any other version.

5CD version here as well

5CD SET ALSO - BOTHERED THE GUY AT THE GUY AT THE COUNTER TO OPEN IT AS WELL

Yes, for the wife's birthday. Wasn't expecting the fifth CD, but glad it was there!

BTW - I'm pretty positive I can hear my wife screaming on the live tracks from the Gold Coast (Big Day Out). She was there right at the front...
