Kudos to our source!

And Kudos to us, who inspired that version... for anybody who followed Community 2, Kudos to 3V ;)

Glad you like it - first time out with the new recorder, it's ever so slightly overblown in the right channel but it doesn't detract that much from the overall feel. A strange version to these ears, but enjoyable nonetheless.

It's almost a totally different song with that beat. A lot more rock than disco. I like it.

Nice job on the recording.

so, is Sumner pissed that Potts is singing on that?

seems a bit provocative.... considering the history and breakup and all that...

might be like if Electronic played next month and Marr sang Dreams Never End???

Or almost as if Hooky had played Failures and Dreams Never End without New Order.

At first i liked too much, but after listen to it more times i'm not entirely convinced about the percussion.

Just my personal opinion, they tried to do it different that's it.

i'm not saying is bad at all....it's ok.

Blue Monday or Blues Monday?

  :abovelol:

GREAT!

Very interesting reinterpretation...sort of a Gary Glitter feel to the percussion.

Boy.....Pottsy really sounds like Barney, though, doesn't he?

I like it though!

He may not, but I do! I'm going to put the Flacs of it up on Dime today, those who haven't got Dime access will have to wait until Nic puts some more songs up here.

Finally! Honestly I'm sick of NO playing Blue Monday basically in the same version as it was released in 1983 (even the bass drum is the same, way dated). I thought in 98, 01 they would come up with something similar to the Hardfloor version (at least technology wise).

This is a great rendition, that's how I wish New Order experimented.

Thanks, Tim.

A very interesting version and the drumming dynamics are totally different but the song retains many of the original's features (Pottsy's spot-on Barney vocal impression, Hooky's bass of course and a fair few of the original samples). This will become a rarity if it isn't already!

I've got to say this is absolute dog shit.

What's with the Gary Glitter drums too!!!

Rock and roll. ROCK. Rock and roll.

Keeping me fingers crossed for the Monaco covers album though...

Working Title: "I'm one third of fookin New Order and I'm not going to let any of you fookers forget it"

Well, I already converted the FLACs in mp3, so if you want me to post them I will.

This is so goddamn awesome... I can't even believe what I'm hearing. It's Blue Monday live, and it's fresh. And I'm really surprised how much Pottsy sounds like Barney.
