Battle of the 2000s 2nd single.

Which one do you prefer and WHY?

I think though both are not the best songs from New Order, they all have Hooky magic in them...

Hum, there is a bug in the polls I see... good thing I can fix it manually... :confused2:

bugs been there for the better part of the year...

60mph... I wish the backing vocals of JS were gone, would make the song sooooo much better

60 mph, no contest, not one of their best songs, but much better than jetstream. Better Hooky parts, better Vocal melody, not gay disco.

I actually have always really liked 60MPH. I remember Mark n Lard bigging it up years ago on their afternoon show, saying its basically a Hooky bass driven monster.

And to me, thats exactly what it is. Hooky all over it, and at his best. Its my second fave track off Get Ready for that reason. Fave track off WFTSC is Whoes Joe for that very same Hooky factor.

Jetstream is a massive pile of steaming cack, however.

60MPH is by far the better track.

60 MPH.......err, just because it's better. Can't recall the last time I made it all the way through Jetstream.

Both suck. But "Jetstream" had a pack of ace remixes at least (that Richard X one was good).

60 MPH is a solid rock song, and Jet is a solid pop song. I voted Jetstream since I'm more of a pop lover

Both are shite, but jetstream is ultrashite.

I quite like 60MPH so its that for me. The remixes of Jetstream are its only redeeming feature.

Jetstream is the only truly embarrasing point on Singles and its a shame that decent money was spent on promotion for that turd instead of WFTSC.

60mph is at best average, shitestream is, well, shite

The album version of 60MPH is OK. The single remix, is much better and quite listenable.

The singles version of JET is better than the Sirens version. But that's not much of a compliment.

60MPH by a considerable distance.

(A good poll might have been JET or SOTN.)

WTF??? Jetstream has votes??? Maybe Ana Matronic made one of the votes.:evil4:

There is no contest. Not really a big fan of 60 Miles an Hour, but it is far better than Jetstream. Cool video too!:thumb:

Jetstream. And I'm still not ashamed to say that I like this song, too.

you can't even compare. while 60 MPH is not one of my favourite new order songs, jetstream is simply ghastly.

Funny,I got called all the wankers under the sun by quite a alot of NOOLers, for ripping the shit out of Jetstream, when it was released on single...Some seriously offended people there was.Halcyon days:laugh: Now seemingly, almost everyone says it sucks cock:shrug:

Neither are classics but I personally never got to grips with 60mph I'm afraid. It's a song which went straight over my head, sadly.

So Jetstream easily for me. Helped further by the remixes. Think the Richard X thing is absolute class and should've been the de facto mix which went on the album.

Got a lot of funny memories wrapped up in the latter song too, and nothing of note associated with the former, I'm afraid.

Your ridiculous little opinion has been noted, mate :thumb: However, you are unfairly depriving your village of it's idiot while you are gobbin on here y'know Jeffrey! :p

I took a call from the village. The good news is there is no need to worry about transport back to the village, they will send the spacker bus right away.

I'm willing to say (even as a rabid NO and Scissor Sisters fan) that I prefer 60MPH, but only the pre-release mix that surfaced long before "Get Ready" appeared.

Since I lost said mix in a hard drive crash shortly thereafter, I may be clinging to my nostalgia a bit too much.

I will say the Tom Neville mix of Jetstream remains my standard "Stuck in a crowded train" song.

'coz i can't drive FIFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFTY-FIVE!

... and of course that is not the reason why.

i suppose it's the better track of the two.

I need to make no further comment on Shitstream.Truly dire.Only surpassed by the steaming shite that is 'Rest of..',as being 'New Order Product'.

60MPH is ok, although I can't remember when I last listened to it. Can't be chewed with Jetstream though, it's just not for me

60MPH bugs me because the key lyric in it is pretty naff. Why not 120MPH? :D

Jetstream is generally an embarrassment and that performance on Jonathan Ross... oh dear...

60MPH wins it for me, I love the solo bit in the middle. Probably the highlight of Getting Things Ready*

100kph.

Barney yelling 'WHY don't you run over here and rescue me' on the Supermen Lover's Mix Almost made me jump.

The J-E-T mixes were cool. I quite like J-E-T now, which is quite amazing as I felt slightly naseous when I first heard it.
