Can I nominate this as the Norvern Order Christmas dooooo?

I always like to go clubbing over Christmas and it will be a damn sight cheaper than doing it NYE.

I'll be safely in Florida by then so you're clear to proceed without me.

You're not really Norvern anyway are you? You speak far too well!

It has been refurbished recently and is supposed to be much nicer, although some of the hardcore Sankey goers aren't happy with the lack of sawdust.

I'm basing the my 'shit' comment on the fact that we went there after LCD last month - it can't have been done up since then, can it?

The bar at the front's alright, just the main hall itself is a bit compact to say the least.

And they were a bit trigger-happy with the smoke machines.

Oh, and they've moved the front door too.

Do you actually have to turn up, or can you get the CD if you just order the ticket? Unfortunately, I doubt whether I can make it up to Manc on the 29th...

What a night! Thanks to those in attendance - Sandra, Jert, Girl Afraid and her boyfriend Mark. Sadly Burt, Emily and Minx couldn’t join us. After about 15 text messages and moving 3 bars on, Uncle Liam finally caught up with us, with John and Barry in tow. They’d been out since lunchtime and were very well oiled, it was like a tornado had hit us!

He’s going to kill me for it, but in Fringe Bar Liam performed a Spice Girls number, word perfect and with all the right dance moves - it has be the funniest thing I’ve seen this year!

There was nearly a fight too! A hippy stood at the side of Liam turned around and accused him of farting and was quite aggressive! He hadn’t, it was probably the pissed up guy stood behind him. Mark calmed the situation very well.

Alex the Red kindly rang me at 5pm to say he could get 4 of us on the Guest list. Yes thanks Alex, right after I’ve paid £50 for tickets!!! We left everybody at about 11 to go to Sankey’s. Luckily we didn’t need to queue for very long.

The main room was just ridiculous. We literally couldn’t breathe or see as the smoke machine was on overdrive - it was a peasouper!! We all had to hold hands or we’d have lost each other. Cue tripping over people for the next 5 minutes trying to find the stairs to the Boutique.

The music was brilliant, some classic house tunes - obviously. Paul was on a slippery slope by this time! You had to queue for the bar, for the toilet, and… for a smoke!!! People were queuing 10 minutes to go for a fag (good job you didn’t come Mr King!).

We were wondering how the hell we were going to find Monty, it was heaving, but I literally walked into him as I came out of the ladies! I don’t know how Monty coped, he was driving and sober and the majority of people were bouncing off the walls.

We found Alex just before Hooky came on, hanging onto a railing! He’d obviously had a good day too! Hooky came on and performed quite a long set. Towards the end Rowetta joined him behind the decks and sang over some of the tunes - which I thought was a bizarre idea, but actually sounded really good. We got Blue Monday, the rest is a bit of a blur.

Thanks to Monty for driving (again) and Sandra and Jert for the entertainment! I don’t think we stopped laughing all night!

Ooh just remembered Andy Rourke was in!

Bring on the next one!

Cracking night, what a sweat-house.Barely enough space to stand and drink. NORVERN ORDER on good form as usual! Don't know whether Hooky's been reading "LoveBernard"'s posts but he was doing his own mixing (not Monty-standard though) and ..shock...using headphones! Top HAC tunes, finishing with the rather splended Blue Monday and UNDERWORLD's Born Slippy. Rowetta performed a set of good dance toons featuring the one of her MySpace page, she at one point sang a bit of VOODOO RAY! Big hello and bear hug for Jemmie,Sandra,Paul (Jert) and Big Clive. Here's some piccies. Lord Lichfield must be shitting himself........if he were alive.

(I'll let Jemma tell her joke about this one)
