about a year ago we all got to see a tentative set list for the new album, it also included two instrumentals, Deepest Ocean (or sea) and I forget the other one. Why didn't they get put on the album?

Hum, that was actually a bad joke.. that tracklisting was fake, and was only submitted to the Ceremony mailing list.
Well, Crystal and 60 MPH were recorded in the "Brutal" sessions, so those tracks where labeled a lot before the other tracks.
Yes it was fake, the only 3 songs that didn't do it are:
Behind Closed Doors Player In The League Run This River Dry (Sabotage?)
and Here To Stay, the Chemical Bros track, which is unfinished.
