Love Will Tear Us Apart was featured on an episode of Coronation Street. It played in the background as Sally Webster accused her husband Kevin of cheating in the middle of her birthday party. It was kinda cool. It reminded me of the climactic party scene at the end of Donnie Darko!

Bizarre love triangle near the end of Hot tube time machine. Almost made the film worth wacthin..........
"The Perfect Kiss" was played at work earlier this morning. All 8 and a half minutes of awesome'ness.

On Radio 4 Afternoon play at the moment...snippets of various 80's groups. They just played Blue Monday intro and Temptation! apart from hearing that I've kinda tuned out from what its about!
The royal wedding 80s telly drama tonight,, Ceremony,, the only thing that ruined it was Thatchers voice over it ,, we got virtually the whole version,, awsome....and the time it started 18.10.. spooky..

In the magazine Crossbeat, for this month's edition, they had a big feature about the 1980s. They had a list of their top 100 albums from the 1980s.
Closer came in at no 30, and PCL was at no 12.
In their year by year articles about the 1980s, there was a picture of a very young Barney circa 1981 in the 1981 section, plus some stuff on JD/NO.

Just watching BBC drama 'Money' 2 parts back to back. In part 1 there was a scene with the main character dancing in a New York club circa 1980/1981 to Joy Division's Digital.
Realistic ? or just a 30 year late history rewrite ?
Actually the soundtrack is superb: Gang of Four, Banshees, PIL, but it's a bit of an odd one. I would have thought NY was in the throes of disco at the time.
