New Order behind new DJ mix album

New Order have curated a compilation album for DMC's Back To Mine DJ mix series.

It is currently scheduled for release in August.

The band are set to start work on a new album, the follow-up to last year's comeback effort, Get Ready.

Bassist Peter Hook says New Order are anxious to start recording again following the album's success.

"We're enjoying ourselves so much, we thought we'd strike while the iron's hot," Hook tells this month's Mixer magazine.

Hook claims the album will be "24 hours of Cajun house, with a bit of Liverpool, tap dancing and line dancing."

The Back to Mine series is excellent. Picked up the Orbital one the other day and it has some top tunes on it.

It would be interesting to see what songs they would pick as the series is meant to be on a post club chill out kind of tip.
