Just been listening to a really good interview of Pete Mitchell with Johnny Marr,talking abut his days with The Smiths.The phenominal sums of money being thrown at them to get back together for a Reunion gig.He wuldn't do it because "we're different people now".Quite surprised a few people in a Cheshire pub recently,when him and Mozzer spent most of the day catching up. Goes on to talk about his other collaborations with Bryan Ferry (he takes ages!),Matt Johnson of THE THEand of course Barney.He's always got on with Barney,great mates from way back when Barney used to produce Mike Pickering in QUANDO QUANGO. "Do you always work with people you like,could you not work with people you like?" "No I've got to like them to work with them,in fact when The Smiths folded,2 bands he considered working with were THE THE or NEW ORDER....

johnny is one cool dude. he's so very nice and kind when he was autographing my electronic & the smiths (cd) sleeves as well as from other people's... ![]()
got his biography. as his "guitar for hire" persona tries to say, he's spent so much more time in other bands than the smiths, just no=ones interested. "jonny marr" is french for "i've had it upto here"
