My mate had one of these on his wall and I used to laugh each time I saw it. At the bottom it said "Darren - Just fags".

You had to be there.

Of course it's correct. The only way that tea should be drunk.

Correct.

After you've added one (1) sugar, of course.

Clearly a sign the people need those new albums coming down the pike. It's like scrouning for cigarettte butts.

My cousin gave me the playlist from a concert in NY '89 Steve supposedly wrote out. Maybe I'll find it and post it...

this is most likely why the British Empire declined and lost half the planet, cause they had to keep track of all the funny ways they drink their tea.

jesus.

gives me a headache just thinking about it.

probably also explains why Stone Roses and My Bloody Valentine only put out 1 proper LP.....

Sorry Steve, but I'm with Tarby, This is backed up by my hatred of all things EMPIRE having just finished watching the BODYLINE series from the 80's again. :spit:

Getting back to the original topic, what are the chances of a dirty pair of socks or pants turning up next?

i love this tea list it's extraordinarily mundane; i'd imagine it would be the sort of thing to have featured heavily in rob gretton's second notebook release (when he can get around to it) anachronistically, I think it was also the visual stimulus for saville's get ready cover. rather like his visit to the studio and discovery of a floppy disk informed the blue monday cover.... I suppose get ready is on the same technological par as a tea list.

Back to the initial picture, I like the way that the tea list is headed and footed by the LUMINOUSLY ENIGMATIC AND SUPERBLY ICONIC NEO-MARXIST STRIP which accompanied 'Get Ready' product.

Such aesthetes. I'm sure Wilson would approve. Now, don't any of these fuckers like biscuits with their brew??????

I thought the same thing, but I was nothing like a sad enough wanker to post it on here.

Which is saying something, I grant you.

My (Scottish) mate was sitting behind Sean Connery on a flight to Edinburgh. "I'll have what Sean's having" he said, when the stewardess asked what he wanted to drink.

Orange juice :nonono:

I did help out with the catering at the Ritz a few years ago but didn't make the tea. Was in the kitchen peeling spuds and getting paid for it. And FYI, I make a brilliant cuppa.

Everyone takes sugar in their tea. I'm sure thats why all the band have sugar....to keep themselves playing on stage.

I reckon in Sumner's case it really is sugar nowadays, otherwise he'd come up with more interesting lyrics surely :)
