New Order 1 * 1980 - 1999 (Gillian ,also Barney was slim) New Order 2 * 2001 - 2006 (Phil, now Barney has chins)
New Order 1989 - 2006
Revenge, Newcastle Riverside, April 90
I was only 18, couldn't convince any of mates to come, so my Dad dropped me off early at the venue, so there I was wandering around a completely empty Riverside. Went for a piss, then in struts Hooky. Thought I had to say something, so I asked if it was true that they were recording the Wold Cup song. When Hooky confirmed this, I said "Music for the masses eh?", thinking I was cool as fuck by dropping in a Depeche Mode reference. I was then on the receiving end of a piercing eye-balling by the bass legend, as if it say "who the fuck are you, you little prick?" Seeing I was alone in the venue, Hooky then bought me a pint and signed my shirt.

so the 1st recording of ceremony without gillian wasn't by new order then (& I mean the studio version)
New Order 1 - With Gillian - 1989 (twice), 1993 New Order 2 - With Phil - 2001, 2005 Electronic - 1990 (twice. Though I had tickets for a cancelled 1991 show in LA) Monaco - 1997
Going through this made me realize how infrequently New Order came to the US.
Just New Order with Phil in 2006. Looking forward to see Bad Lieutenant in New York next month, but i'm trying to convince to my sister she won't get married on november 21 th.....for now her answer is NO ![]()
Joy Division - Once, Deeply Vale, but was too young with my Pa (only 9) so it doesn't count New Order 1 - lots 1988 Onwards Electronic - Once (Cities in the Park) New Order 2 - lots 2001 Onwards Bad Loo - Had tix for London, couldn't go, got tix for Manc PSBs
From the above I've realised I'm a Bernard groupie....

I went to Cities In The Park. I thought Revenge played the same day as Electronic?
New Order 1 & New Order 2 (lost count) Monaco (3 times, including 2 re-unions) Bad Lieutenant (twice so far, 3 more in the next couple of months)
Never saw either Electronic or Revenge - indeed, wished I'd gone to the Cities In The Park gig, but can only assume that I hadn't got any cash at the time (being a lowly student)... Ah well... ![]()

They certainly did/ Didn't get a ticket for Saturday, because there was only OMD,Cabaret Voltaire and Buzzcocks I liked.Sunday was Revenge,Electronic (feat PSB),ACR,Durutti Column,Adventure Babies,808 STATE and Happy Mondays!
Being French
I didn't get much opportunities to see NO (and was too young for the Bains Douches '79 in Paris). So I missed NO in '86 (I knew them only for a few weeks) but saw them in 2001 & 2005 (yeahh EGG aux Vieilles Charrues, ace!).
What about Barney singing with 808 State or the Chemicals?
And Hooky playing with Hybrid, Section XXV or Durutti Column?
Guess there must be a few more guest appearances too down the line? (Hooky with Stockholm Monsters?)
The list is endless. ![]()
mrs order and i had our first concert date at brighton new order in 86,, it was my chat up line , saw em a few times then we saw revenge at Brighton zap in 90 and Shes never gone back![]()
PINEapple face
I too was at that Revenge Brighton Zap Club gig. Don't remember much about Revenge to be honest. I was pining for the New Order comeback. 2 things I do remember vividly were a mentallist bloke air drumming down the front for nearly the whole gig and there was a couple there who were the spitting image of Stephen & Gillian, not just vaguely lookalikes, but physically dead ringers. That was weird but really sweet.
oh and Revenge at Cities In The Park 1991.They did Dreams Never End.But were shite basically.
of course i never saw New Order 1 (Beach Club, Hurrah gig etc before Gillian joined) but saw New Order 2 (with Gillian) and New Order 3 (post Gillian) numerous times

And you forgotten? Barney/Doves and ACR/Hook
There's also the guest appearances of Keith Allen and Brandon Flowers
Joy Division Joy Division with Alan Hempsall :) New Order 1 - With Gillian New Order 2 - With Phil
Can't claim Warsaw, even though I saw JD in 1978 :(
Haven't posted here, or even looked in for bloody ages. Should I bother with this Bad Lieutenant thing?

Missed Warsaw, but add to list Durutti Column with Hooky and NO with Phil and him from Smashing Pumpkins.
New Order 1 - Albert Hall 86, Wembley 87, GMEX 88, Reading 93, Reading 98.
New Order 2 - Finsbury Park whenever that was, Wembley 06
Electronic - Wembley 91.
Monaco - Scala, 2000.
The first two times I saw the same shirtless bloke giving it large to Temptation. Weirdly I never saw him for the rest of the gigs. Maybe he was sitting down!

Ah yes, had forgotten i saw Bernard doing Vicious with Doves and Marr.
Prior to Republic parents said I was too young for concerts
NO - Republic - broke up with girlfriend and she took the tickets and went with a friend
NO - Get Ready - Was deployed, fighting forest fires in Idaho
NO - WFTSC - Was deployed to Iraq, missed the venue by TWO WEEKS!
Hooky DJing - Deployed to Arizona helping Border Patrol
BL - No West Coast gigs, and not that enthused to spend loads of cash to see a side project
Thanks for fucking reminding me! ![]()
