with warts and all, unfortunately a lot of blips in it but I couldn't be bothered taking them out.

Reading is fundamental...
There are no more download slots available for free users right now. If you don't want to become a premium member, you might want to try again later.
so, basically, it's telling you to TRY AGAIN LATER...
no wonder everyone thinks Americans are stupid...
Steve is the most consistent member it seems. Amazing performance, got me psyched for my Nov 21'st show.

I meant Hot Dog :D
My biggest thanks.
This gig is AMAZING!
Sink Or Swim and Poisonous Intent are indeed better than on record, they're much stronger... and excellent renditions of classics as well: Ceremony, Out Of Control + Temptation and CRYSTAL! What a Crystal, rarely I've heard it as good as this from New Order.
And the bass player CAN be a decent replacement for Hooky.
You know, the New Order split was a shock, but now I have to admit I don't know if I'd really prefer another comeback.
Bernard and Hooky are doing well at what they're doing on their own, Steve and Phil are still with us, they still play the classics, NCAT is mostly a great album, the Freebass previews are very promising...
What more can we expect from two punks well into their 50s?
I'm happy to be A New Order Fan today, with Bad Lieutenant and Freebass.
I'm just jealous of those so lucky to see BL live, you gotta enjoy them because probably they're even better as a live band than New Order in their last couple of years...
Hey, Tighten Up is astonishing too, got me dancing in front of my PC, which doesn't happen often. ![]()
Will get this at home tonight - thanks a million!
I gotta say I've never heard Barney sing as well live (via bootlegs mainly) as he did at the Heaven gig - most amazing bit was at the very end of the acoustic BLT - it was actually "proper singing"!
Maybe he should enter X-factor next year in disguise.
great stuff man, thanks!
uhhh seems like he uh sorta screws up the bass bit for ceremony...ever so slightly but just enough for me to notice....no big deal i guess:(
Hate to be a dick about this, but if i wasn't, i wouldn't be here.
again great job overall, but give the track another listen will ya, in your spare time, on a Sunday afternoon perhaps.
Im sure you'll understand...
bye

Bated breath for Ceremony, but here goes!
No need to be baited mate......twas very good, listened to the gig this morning, was very happy the Vikings that travelled got Ceremony, the rest of the gig is good. Not as good as the London show, but nearly ;)

After seeing them once live in England in 2002 and three times in Brazil in 2006, I can't never say that. The power of songs like Crystal, Temptation, True Faith, Transmission, Love Will Tear Us Apart, Blue Monday and Perfect Kiss live is something awesome. I wish they could come back again someday with New Order original formation for a goodbye gig in Manchester.

Sorry but Geri is a lady ![]()
Is it me, or are Stinker and Shine Like the Sun being played at about twice their normal speed? Was this to get more tracks into the shorter support slot, I wonder? And if so, why didn't they just lob off the unnecessary 5-minute repeat to fade bit from the end?

See also: Tighten Up
That's ridickerlessly quick!

Not sure what that even means Mick?
"Better as a live band?"
Better how?
Simply that they play their instruments more competently?
That doesn't mean anything really, does it? They don't have the strength of material that New Order undoubtedly have. And, from what I've seen, they certainly haven't generated the sort of atmosphere New Order could in their pomp.
Bad Lootenant playing New Order songs ain't never gonna surpass New Order playing New Order songs, it has to be said.
There's no substiture for the real thing!
(Apart from Re-Order, natch)

not to be pedantic...but Geri isn't a man...she's a...well...SHE...

oh...didn't see that someone had already corrected this oversight...

Nice one thanks
let's hope BL release a soundboard of one of these early gigs in some format.

It would amuse me if Barney would appear as the x-factors mentor one week.![]()

Of course you can't beat the real thing, the New Order I saw at the Apollo in 98 will forever be untouchable. And when they came in Turin they were still great, the set list was really balanced (apart from missing Technique songs) and the performance was still good. But I got so excited by this wonderful BL bootleg that I just think they may sound more powerful than the New Order I've heard only in bootlegs of their last months. Those New Order sounded a bit tired, these Bad Lieutenant sound on top form. Then, as the most of you, I've noticed something has probably gone wrong with the recording speed, the songs are indeed faster, and this extra speed adds to the perceived strength of the performance, this could be a tip for the band, to speed everything up a little bit. But even with this in mind, it's still an excellent performance, Ceremony, Crystal, Tighten Up, Out Of Control and Temptation are all amazing, and the BL songs are better than on record, they sound that bit rougher. What we hear from the Paris recording is probably better than what we could hear on a bootleg of a half arsed New Order gig played today, with Barney and Hooky ignoring each other and carrying on just for the sake of it. With Bad Lieutenant, you hear that struggle to emerge typical of a new project which is really cool. We'll always have the legend of New Order with us, but now we can be happy with Barney and Hooky carrying on with their own projects, of course I'd have had a very different opinion 10 years ago.
Thanks for posting!! I totally dig now Poisonous Intent. I didn't care much for that track on the album, but live it sounds much better!! Also great to hear an early Electronic tune ![]()
So could there be a better version of the concert? Or was it only live trasnmitted and that's about it? Or a better live version of Poisonous Content.

Everyone filmed the JD-songs which we have seen a thousend times and NOBODY filmed a decent version of Poinonois Intent. :\ohwell:
Thanks for sharing. This sounds good. Love the way the French pronounce Bad Lieutenant and the band's names - totally Frenchified.
There's a chap yelling out "Ceremooony!" as that song starts. One of the Vikings maybe?
