sERVER IS havin' work done on it or something.Don't Panic
On his facebook...... for those wondering, NOOL's server is in upgrade process right now, I wasn't aware of it, it should be back up soon.
I've told Nic a couple of times. Apparently, the server needed rebooting. No idea how long that takes, but the site is currently intermittent.
As far as I know, Nic is aware...

Certainly is ![]()
My provider did an upgrade which caused the DNS server to fail... I opened a ticket, and I decided sunday to try something and rebooted the server and it started to work.
So... blame the customer support, so slow you have to handle it yourself lol.
I know some people are still having trouble accessing the site - Bruno Republic, for one. He's in Toronto, and hasn't been able to access the site since it first went down. He's cleared his browser cache, rebooted, and everything.

Bloody hell Nick, I kind of assumed that you'd have done that.
We need to find you a woman.
Fast.

Only if you access via the IP address... DNS entries seem to have propagated to Virgin Media, but not everywhere yet... :D

I tried, but that didn't work! :p
I asked Jeff, and he kept going on about what he was going to do to me if he ever came to England again.

Did you go damp at the thought of it?...
I managed to get on the site yesterday as normal but now I've got the 'Ask Jeff/neworderonline.com coming soon!' screen again, so I've had to revert back to the IP address.
I've told Nic again. Apparently it works fine from Canada...
So, we may all have to emigrate... ;)

Not much point posting it on here ![]()
This site works for about 10 mins each day for me, and then it crashes. It obviously is effecting alot of folk as no one is posting messages.
Just thought i'd say before it crashes on me ![]()

obviously big server issues thanks for the IP posted on world in motion back in my daily routine
Rather obvious it's a dns setup.
I will check with my provider.. one of the dns servers must not be doing it right.
Bizarrely I've had zero problems reaching the site through the regular www.neworderonline.com route for weeks now. Not a single problem. First I heard of the issues were when Nick couldn't connect.
Sounds like out of date DNS records for sure.
I've found that depending on which URL you log into your NOOL account via (I.e. www.neworderonline.com, neworderonline.com or the IP) if you reload the site using a different address you have to login again ![]()

...Hey thanks for the tip Johnnyboy!
I have now put the IP Address listed in the WIM forum into my bookmarks instead - hopefully that will be a bit more reliable.
I still keep experiencing problems with the reg URL so someone should sort it out soon in case occasional posters think the site think is down for good...

doesnt work here either - time to change providers maybe...

Still not working here mate.
Main address doesn't work, no smilies using the IP address. It's been the same for a couple of weeks now.

I couldn't get on to the site this morning. I kept getting that Ask Jeff message.
I tried again this afternoon and I was able to get on fine.
No luck for me either... except, oddly enough, for my dumbphone with Opera Mini.
The odd time I can get it, but usually not. The annoying thing is that I keep having to reset my password. If I log in at the proper domain and then (after I'm unable to get back in) try to get in using the DNS, it won't accept my password. Deleting the cookie doesn't help.
i've been having access issue all day.
and the logo for the site, doesn't seem to be working either..

ive had access issues for the last 2 weeks, wonder if its something to do with the new job , where i have to work![]()
fine time
Alright, I am removing my provider's name servers form the domain, it can take up to 48 hours for this change to be visible everywhere...
If this doesn't work I'll have to call them and tell them to fix their problem.
So please continue to monitor if it's working or not.
I was also offered a better machine for a cheaper price for this server, which is obviously something I'm looking into (if that's how we say it).
Everything working perfectly here now Nic. Page load times seem slightly faster too.
Well done and thanks for sorting it out ![]()
still canae get thru via the normal channels, eventually got thru via a COMPETITORS WEBSITE LINK ![]()
