A Factory Novelty Record.

Ad Infinitum was a project by New Order's bass swinger Peter Hook and Lindsay Wilson (then wife of the late Tony Wilson). This anonymous 7" single, a cover of the Joe Meek classic was released in early 1984 in a unique hologram sleeve. The A-side featured Peter Hook and a couple of Stockholm Monsters performing an electronic version of the track - if you listen closely you can hear Hook's treated bass, New Order's old sequencers and what sounds like the same guitar used on Everything's Gone Green. The flipside featured then ACR keyboardist Andy Connell and (I assume) Simply Red's Tim Kellet, who was working with Durutti Column at the time, on trumpet. Ad Infinitum : ripped from a crackly and badly pressed Factory Records 7" single (FAC 96) A. Telstar B. Telstar In A Piano Bar
