I don't mean by putting a few recordings on myspace, i mean releasing an actual album or even a single, and maybe a tour? Frankly, i doubt it will ever happen now...
Will Freebass ever happen??

It's all finished... EP coming VERY, VERY soon out on Hacienda Records... LP to follow at a later date.

The man himself. Although he was being teased at the time about the fact that BL were about to play a few more gigs and Freebass had yet to do any. He's seems keen and full of enthusiasm so lets hope this happens.Soon.

At a later date, I hope it will come out soon.
At a later date, before we hit the moon. ![]()

Well I'm looking forward to it. I expect that it is not as boring as Bad Lootenant's album.

Kinda like WFTSC extras will be released at a later date?
It's happening.
FAC251 live.
Tokyo ltd. giveaway.
Probably going to continue (now it's finally started) in fits and starts given the anarchic band roster.
You gotta wonder how the band will get on with one another if they can't even manage to make the band a priority in the first place. Bad Lieutenant seems like they get on better with one another. I mean, they got a record out & are touring with it. Freebass' inertia is starting to make them look like an ego driven supergroup in comparison.

I prefer BL's to that old twat who was in FAC251 opening as FB's singer ![]()
yeah, jack, julio missed that in another thread here as well -
i was wondering what julio was talking about - apparently he only watched like the first minute of the show and never saw the parts with Gary Briggs singing, which are great -
:\ohwell:
freebass has been happening for ages.
didnt you know? most of the ep and album has been done for more than a good few months.
I have it on good authority some mastering of the ep was going on sometime recently.
It is a great pity that not many people have been able to hear it yet, aside from the first two Freebass / The Factory tracks recently, however it is hoped that when it is finally delivered, that people enjoy it and take to it.

Boring BL?
For the record i am looking FORWARD to Freebass.I have a lot of time on my hands at the moment.![]()
Had a flick through Q at the newsagent just there and spotted the bit in question. Stock photo of Hooky from the WFTSC period and they managed to mis-spell Freebase. Nice.
No definite release date, just that it's "finished".

John Cooper Clark sounds like Sinatra in comparasion with him ![]()

Surely then there's a preview on Myspace, with Hooky repeating "Freebass, the EP, coming in the next couple of days" over and over and over and over and overand over and over and over and over and over and over and over and overand overand overand over and over and over
Whenever it comes, I'm buying it. Should be fun.

What's the point of releasing anything with Freebass. As a wise man once said: "Once you've recorded it, it's gone and people will just download it for free". ![]()

All a bit frustrating really. Has taken way too long.
And I quote,
"We are to eachother, like sister and brother".
Hard to be like that when you feel alienated and at a loss of patience though.

Yes boring BL. Boring unspectacular "anybody can do that" pop. :D
I know Hooky is all for maintaining the proud history of Factory and its ethos but Bloody Hell, Pete... :D

Maybe.
Sometime something happens and you have to jump aboard the crest of a wave, you ride that wave till the end and feel satisfied that you rode that wave to the best of your ability and that you could not have possibly gotten more out of that wave.
Depends what waves you really want, small waves breaking on the shore kind of waves or big fuck off old spice advert type of waves,i know the type of waves i like.
The moral of the story:
(Do not) Listen to me i know what i'm saying, but love dont come easy.....

What was the question again?

Be sure you don't hit sharks whilst Yachting though, the press will ask you about it for ages.

Good things come to those who wait... come on you lot... you've waited this long. What's wrong with just a tiny bit more waiting?
[orange]State of Love and Trust [/orange] wrote: Good things come to those who wait... come on you lot... you've waited this long. What's wrong with just a tiny bit more waiting?
OK, since you asked: Not knowing quite how 'tiny' or otherwise that additional waiting may be. We've been through it innumerable times with your old man and his mates and it doesn't get less frustrating as the years tick by.
But, that said, you are correct and hopefully, the EP and LP will be every bit as good as we've been hoping.
Any clues as to how (notice: not when!) we may expect to get hold of the EP?
[orange]State of Love and Trust [/orange] wrote: Good things come to those who wait... come on you lot... you've waited this long. What's wrong with just a tiny bit more waiting?
Years of being abused by the Factory ethos has ensured patience isnae a virtue round here Jack, we're all dying for a few gigs and the single/album ![]()

If the record of the past is any clue on the future; after a few badly recorded releases and remixing to make it sound better...
Wanna grow up to be a Freebaser. Only problem is I may be old, grey, and my hearing mightn't work so well by then. Could be a problem...
