Steve's Drums

Thought it's well worth a mention. All the hype and reviews about the album focused on the importance of Hooky's basslines to each song, but I feel the return of Steve's powerful drumming is just as welcome, esp after the general reliance on synth-drums in Republic.

Don't forget it was said at the tume that "Republic" owed a lot to Gillian and... Stephen

I think republic was a mixture of drum-machine/loops and steve, although having said that he is a programmer aswell so I guess all of the above counts as one..

Avalanche reminds me a lot of gillian and steve, and the more rigid 'beat' ones such as world, times change remind me of bareny's programming.
