have not had a chance to yet play this (still have to buy/set up a new receiver), but purchased a white label from a dealer in manchester.

what interests me are the groove notations:

side A: fac 123 side b: fac 123b 2nd process

plain white labels. on a-side label:

FAC 123 1st Pro A 2nd " B

anyone ever come across this test pressing before?

No, that's a new one to me. Is it the 12" version or the 7" version? Let us know what's on it, when you have the chance to do so...

There are various test pressings of FAC123. It seems they tried both DMM cuts and laquer cuts, and more than once to get something they were finally happy with.

hey,

thanks for the responses - it is a 12 inch release, if there is anything interesting, i will be sure to share here.

johnny - thanks for that piece of information; i'm guessing they did this with all vinyl around '85. i have a mayking pressing of low-life that was a rejected lacquer cut. seems like they went thru various cuttings before finding one they were happy with.
