Talikng of gigs in the fair city of Brum some of the Tower Ballroom concerts would be good to put up. I think the Order did 3 gigs there '83, '85 and '86.

A great selection of different songs from each gig.

I believe it was from OUR long lost friend FRED WEST.Where is he now...i miss him?He would probably have TATTON COMMUNITY CENTRE on CD by now.Wish i had...EASY if you ever meet him please tell him ROCKET'S desire.I must say though that some of these concerts are quite excellent for the tracks i hardly heard live, if at all.SUBCULTURE,RUN,1963 and their ilk.Great times probably gone forever. And remember NOOL's there is always people like myself and others here willing to send the odd concert or five.I have very few but access to about 50 which towards FRED and EASY is small but nevertheless once on CD seem a little bit better than dodgy tapes. Have a nice day and hope that i am not speaking out of turn or off topic here:D Cheers ROCKET MICK :cool2: :redhat: Obviously via CHRIS and WENORDER'S download site would be easiest so keep sending the wants and the great job these two are doing will be EVEN more fruitful!

For the record Mick, I am waiting for a delivery of CDRs from PC World before being able to do any more copying of gigs onto CD for people. I've not been too happy with the results so far, so will try to clean a couple up before I let anyone else have any. Still in two minds whether to copy Tatton for you after your shit-stirring recently. No sweat EASY...

And whilst we're on the subject, Chris, your sig's wrong too - RAH was October 86. 6th October, a Monday. Remember it well cos I started Uni that very day and gave me ticket away for said gig.. .

Al the Pedant.

Right again Al - I do feel slightly stoopid, as I was at that gig - Barney & Hooky taking their tops off n all!

I've got it on video and the sleeve says November - I should have checked my ticket stub too. Memory is certainly going, due to certain factors...

Chris/Wen,

After the missing Reading 93 tracks, do you want to do Old Trafford or Finsbury? I'm happy to send you either. At what rate should I encode as mp3?

Hi Kev - well... on a PURELY SELFISH note - Finsbury would be great. Wen was there with his new wife (first time she'd seen New Order) and I was there with my girlfriend (now converted to the 'Brotherhood' - NO she didn't have a sex change) the first time she'd seen them too.

So, I'm afraid I'd have to say 'Finsbury'.

Are you talking sending by snail mail or email?

If on CD by snail mail, then the highest sample rate possible. If email, then whatever you can send - I can probably clean it up.

email: no_live_and_rare@yahoo.co.uk

mail me for snail mail address.

And THANK YOU very much indeed for the offer.

My vote for new songs on the site would be rare live songs that they did not freqently play live. Songs like: Hurt Turn The Heater On Leave Me Alone

Hurt and Leave Me Alone were in every other gig between mid 82 and 85 or so. There are zero, I said zero, live versions of Turd The Heater Down Mavis its fookin' boiling here.

What about having those songs that had special and unique live versions?

e.g.

Mr Disco Reading 89 Fine Time Dec 98 concerts Blue Monday (orchestral samples, kylie version etc) True Faith perfecto

There must be more...

How much space do you have to fill? - the songs seem to rotate, is that down to server limitations or is that the key to the live web gig?

Is this NOT on well dodgy ground now after recent comments and warnings?

You may be right and probably should be avoided

I'm beginning to wonder now too. I'll have a word with Wen.

Calm down kids - I never suggested that anyone was being watched or that big brother was gearing up for some (hard) court action...

Andy Robinson knows that taping goes on and they accept that form of fan activity.

Just don't take the piss - that's all.

I'm surprised by the popularity of that download site -- I naively thought that all the NewOrderologists in here already had almost every concert and every New Order track ever made???

It seems to be quite the contrary!

It is that before the INTERNET days catching ANYTHING by NEW ORDER was quite difficult due to the sporadic distribution and also ANY live CONCERTS could take up to 6 - 12 months to show the light of day.Now everthing is almost available within a few weeks.Even at the height of my collecting of 400 plus items i am well short of NEW ORDER goodies...i never really bothered with live concerts due to the abysmal quality.Either went to the concerts or bought the odd bootleg on VINYL...sound still bad but at least you got a GREAT cover to hold it in. :redhat:

Did they ever do 'too late' (2nd peel session) live ? I've never found one but I've hope they played it at some point.
