Just wondered if anyone could point me in the direction of a copy of this gig please?

It was my second New Order concert and had a copy on tape ages ages ago (now long lost).

Remember it a really sunny Autumn day and was sat on a table next to the band for a while outside the hall before the sound check. Desperate to say hello, but too overawed and never did..

Bought Brotherhood that day and also got a copy of that weeks Melody Maker with Barney on the front in an American Classics Reversible Jacket!

Thought it was a great gig and remember Bernard saying "keep thinking about Freddie Mercury" - prophetically ironic ?!! :) Sister Ray with the Mondays at the end was definitely memorable too.

Many Thanks.

Never had a decent copy of this. Enjoyed the gig, mainly because it was only twenty minutes home and was a totally different set and vibe to the night before. Remember 586 sounded absolutely massive, and the encore was a shambles, ending with Hooky walking offstage with his bass which he continued to play on the stairs.

Was in Malvern not so long back so was reminded that NO played there in 86 though i didn't go. Was trying to look out for the Winter Gardens as we drove through.Think this gig was the night after Brum Tower Ballroom that i did go to which was a stormer.

Did once have the boot cassette of Malvern but dunno what happened to it. Pretty poor quality if i remember . Think they did EGG if recall right.

Brum, Malvern and T&C probably the best three consecutive nights they've ever done, totally different sets, great performances. Brum still the best gig they've ever done.
