Vanishing Point shows the band at the height of their (recording) powers and probably deserves to win. It's the one I'd prefer to hear live, as well.

But I voted for Leave Me Alone. It's magical, inscrutable and art on par with anything on display in the Louvre.

LMA is a classic.

Leave Me Alone is an unique iconic track. Very JD and NO. A small step above the lush emotional VP...

not surprisingly this is very close. LMA won the toss.

Manages to make even a shitty rainy day in 2012 feel like a 1989 summers day.

I went with Vanishing Point in the end because...

...it's probably one of Barney's best lyrics/vocals...

...yet if you play the instrumental it's still the best music you'll hear all day...

So, BRILLIANT lyrics, yet the music is SO good that they're not even needed!

And the bass on it (both synth bass and string bass) are perfect.

And the drum patterns and sounds seem to sum up my teenage years and fill me with nostalgia.

Leave Me Alone is a fantastic guitar-based New Order track... but Vanishing Point pretty much sums up everything that I love about them. It's a perfect New Order dance track, and track in general. Even lyrically I think it's faultless.

LMA is a beautiful, wistful, perfect way to end an outstanding album, but VP is my favourite track off my favourite ever album, with huge emotional resonance, so I plumped for that.

Deserves to be the closest contest yet, but LMA win on penalties. LMA probaly my fav NO track with Temptation, TLU ....
