HMV overprice EVERYTHING. They quoted 110 dollars for JD box set Heart & Soul, and i got it for 74.99 at mymusic.ca. Hopefully mymusic will have the New Order box too.
Ive been out bid for everything recently, The Collection CD and that elusive LP marble coloured PC and L. So 60 squid Id gladly pay. I wonder if there will be any promos of this boxed set up for grabs?

remember Tabsy...you should always keep all body parts as long as humanly possible...that appendix could be worth something one of these days!!!
I'm probably still gonna buy the box set anyway. I don't have any New Order albums!
...Or maybe it'll be cheaper just to buy all 7 of their albums... but then i wouldn't get any of the rare tracks, if they include any in the box set...

Ooops. Thats better OLD LUE!:D
Can't imagine the NO box to cost that much more than Heart And Soul, which I paid 60 US dollars for when it came out. If it does though, it may just mean a couple less Christmas presents for my family and friends......
I am hoping that the high price is telling that the box set may actually be worth waiting this long for. But, I am still bracing myself for a billion remix's of BM... anyone else realize Blue's initials relate to a bodily function... after BM 88, they have all sounded like that body function to me.
Show a little patience people... it will NOT cost that much, that would be commercial suicide!, it is barely commercially feasible anyway... and we STILL don't even know what is going to be on it?! you can import Heart and Soul from the UK for under $40..., while the slightly inferior (paper-quality) USA Rhino version can be had for about $57... it would be absurd to price it much above that level.
will they remaster all the albums then??? will that be finacially possible?? i just hope the box set has lots of non-LP stuff and hopefully concentrates on the 80s... i don't really see the point in covering Get Ready, it sounds fine and is produced so differently from the older stuff it doesnt seem to fit in. i dpn't think they would fill up the set with any new remixes, be kinda pointless, but you could expect anything with Bernard.
as for Blue Monday.... i hope they remix that every five years for the next century, why the hell not!
Good news guys and gals. www.hmv.co.uk are quoting £16.99 which to me seems way too low for a 4 disc set. No more details at the mo regarding tracks, hopefully that will be forthcoming shortly.

i've just pre-ordered it with HMV ..... my theory is that they have fucked up with the price and i,ll get a bargain or this boxset only contains one cd!

The final track-listing is still incomplete, but will be finalised by Wednesday. Due in part to Bobby G's choices and which version they're gonna use to fill his disk. He wants live stuff only, apparently.

I just rang HMV. Didn't manage to speak to anyone who knew anything, but concensus seems to be that £16.99 is a mistake, or as the 16 year old on the end of the phone told me.... "it could be a deposit"
There's an ad for Badlands Mail Order of CVheltenham, Gloucester (mailorder@badlands.co.uk) in the new (November) issue of Q.
This ad lists the price of the 4cd box set at £39.99, which seems about right.
No track details, though.

Top work as ever, big guy.
Any word on the new recording sessions: producers, band members, collaborators, direction, etc?

Suffice to say, I think it's gonna be a disappointment to the majority, though I've been led to believe there might be a limited-run bonus disk featuring JD covers by NO.
If HMV really want to seriously think off charging us anything up to 60 quid for this box set then they can simply go and get stuffed. Amazon or any equivalent web mail order site may be able to stock this for less I reckon.
Besides, we don't even have the definitive trcak listing yet. Are things always like this with New Order releases these days ? I'm beginning to suspect so. :(

Afraid so, Dave. The story these days is "repackage and delay".

I was just thinking about such a disk on the way to work - I think that would be sweet - 1 whole disk of JD covers.
It would be even better if they were studio recordings of JD songs - the can barely manage to play a song live without screwing it up these days.
What would be on it from live tracks ?
LWTUA (the "Come On" mix) Atmosphere She's Lost Control Isolation Heart and Soul Digital Decades Transmission
Nothing else has ever surfaced live. Yet.

I thought that was what Jarvo meant. It's not beyond the realms of possibility, they are in the studio at the moment after all. Wouldn't take more than an afternoon to knock out ten tracks!
Bit naff though, isn't it? Like you say Benny, it's bad enough that they murder them live.
Hmm Live JD songs cd...
Atmosphere (the whoop edit) Digital (the John Sims mix) Transmission (this ones for you Peely mix) LWTUA (The Barney in a camaflauged duvet mix)
