Ahhhh... right. I see now. What a bloody bugger. Oh well.November it is then for the deluxe.Still a bit miffed about the money going out of my account months beforehand though. Got to pay for it sometime anyway, obviously, but i wasn't expecting that. Thanks for bringing this to may attention.
Who's Joe? wrote: Bought my box set last night for a robust $115 in the US. Very excited by the promo and the hope that comes with a new release. What makes it better, in theory, for me is the 11 tracks, plus 11 extended mixes/versions of them. I think about how tight the 4 minute version of TPK is and then how glorious the full version is, and can only hope we are getting serious extended versions. Plus, one can hope for one of the 200 signed boxes....
Additionally, does anyone else think the teaser is Singularity? I listened to the live version again against the teaser and think it is. Or is it just me?
Yeah, defo Singularity.
On a serious note, I hope the long delay has meant Barney has afforded some time to write some better lyrics other than the "hey now man, where you been, see that stray dog on the floor, blah blah blah".
I know its part of the charm (yawn), its not his forte (yawn), its all about the music (yawn) etc but a bit of variety on word play would be appreciated.
I wonder how long will it be before we hear a single or something, waiting till sept to hear something seem too long for me.![]()

Well from the sounds of things it will be August.
That's only really just over a month away.

Yes the title is a bit ominous.
BazG wrote: Does anyone know, if you order the £65 vinyl box set from the New Order store, will they take the money from your account now, or just prior to despatch?
They took it from my account immediately (U.S. order). I guess they prefer money in the bank from the get-go.
I ordered the cd and they billed me right away.
I decided to wait until the 25th and find out from you people's if they let you download the extended versions. And if they do, I will order the box set then.
I note today that the details of the box set are no longer showing on Rough Trade. Just the CD and black vinyl/clear vinyl versions. According to Mute...
"The box will be limited, but it is still in development stage. We are hoping the box set will ship a lot earlier, unfortunately, due to the current problems getting vinyl manufactured, we just couldn’t guarantee it being ready earlier. You will get the album on release date digitally."
Better get those orders in. Not sure how many are going to be produced. I suspect they are currently gauging interest. Hopefully it will ship sooner than expected.

Radio stations start play upcoming new single releases 5 or 6 weeks before don't they? So could be hearing something in a few weeks time![]()

- Simply "Complete" would have been a better title.

No cos then Hooky would do 63971 interviews saying, 'It ain't fucking complete New Order. It fucking ain't fucking complete cos I fucking ain't fuckin' in 'it you fucking fuckers.'
steinomite wrote: "Music Complete" sounds like a bit of a Kraftwerk rip-off.
New Order a Kraftwerk rip-off? Surely not.
Debaser wrote: I used to wonder if you were related to Bob Monkhouse but now I'm thinking maybe Jack Dee.
Two of my all-time favourites! When I was 16 I wanted to be Jack Dee... Two years ago I wanted to be Jack Dee again, but for different reasons: http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/melanie-cs-canoe-capsizes-during-3326070 - "My helmet is covered in scratches..." Quite honestly I'm just chuffed there's a proper release date. I've always been wary of the band's notriously vague interviews - gimme an actual date and I might wake up. New albums from NO AND PIL in the same month? That's like my grandmother's old chair. it ROCKS.

Hence the beautiful irony that could have been had they just used "Complete" as the title.

Excerpt from 'This is a Perm: The Collected Lyrics of Bernard Sumner':
Hey now! Watcher doin'? You're like a toilet that's got pooh in, Or an Airfix kit that's got glue in, Or a boot shop with a shoe in. Sort yourself out mate, It's never too late, You could be great! Mmmmm mate! Yeah, yeah, yeah. Whoo! Whoooooooo! Who? Just you. Yeah!

I have this: Winter comes too soon Summer never happened We're like players on a stage With roles already scripted Working for a wage, livin for today, on a giant piece of earth, spinning in the universe I can hear your cry out there I can feel you close to me One day at the time, inch by inch For every kiss on lover's lips We're long lost souls, we can't come home ....................................... we shared our tears All I want to do is make the right impression for ............. of truth, soldier without weapons I care so much for you, ....... a thousand miles Desert full of sand ........... every land (repeats) I can feel your presence here ...... through the air We're long lost souls, we can't come home.
Somone's put the lyrics as subtitles on this video. I think they've done a decent job. EDIT: I think you need to watch the video on youtube though. They don't seem to show when the video is embedded here.

Okay, so it is:
winter came so soon summer never happened we're players on a stage with roles already scripted we're working for a wage we living for today on a giant piece of dirt spinning in the universe
I can hear you cry out there and I can feel you close to me
one day at a time inch by inch for every kiss on lovers lips we're all lost souls who can't come home friends not here we shared our tears
all I wanna do is to make the right impression the instrument of truth a soldier with no weapon I cared so much for you I crawled a thousand miles deserts full of sand my love in every land
I can feel you cry out there and I can feel you everywhere
one day at a time inch by inch for every kiss on lovers lips we're all lost souls who can't come home our friends not here we shared our tears
one day at a time inch by inch for every kiss on lovers lips for all lost souls who can't come home friends not here we shared our tears
I can feel your presence here tender softley through the air
one day at a time inch by inch for every kiss on lovers lips we're all lost souls we can't come home
Only: on a giant piece of dirt has to be on a giant piece of earth IMO.
