I've thought it was a cracking track from Day One. Pretty much in a DoTheOstrich / SisterRay vain so not convinced it should've been included on GetReady, per se, but that doesn't make it any less of a chooon. Oh, and I don't particularly like Bobby G., so that ain't the reason I'm biggin' this one up. That's just the way it is.
I'm sorry guys but I don't quite share your appreciation of this track, but hey, that's life. I probably love other New Order tracks that you don't. That's just part of what makes each and everyone of us different. Imagine how un-interesting the world would be if:
a) we were all the same b) there was no new order
I like this song too. I don't know Primal Scream, so I don't know if RTS sounds like a Primal Scream song, but it's a good one. Not the best, but catchy.

Yeah, I really dig that song.
I love to sing along loud "I've been accused of everything, from Timbucto to old Berlin" in my car.
And I also love those little bits of distorsion that get along with some verses of the song.

When it comes to analysis: I know I am not a great communicator or anything, I suppose that's the reason I love the primitive raw and poppy sound of "Rock the Shack" and "Crystal". The best tracks beside these two (well, in my opinon) so far is "Someone like you"

A message to those people who apparently are supposed to post hate mail to the moderators:
For one: Hate doesn't solve anything Two: Seb may do some judgement and analysis of people, who write out of enthusiasm. An enthusiasm, which perhaps makes it difficult to do a two-way conversation, and that's why some turn to the authistic world of music, isn't it?
Three: I don't think that any of moderators are bloody right wings bastards, despite that it could seem like that. The reaction after the terrorist attack shows though that they both intelligence and sense.
So, if there are some who thinks they're supporting the people who has some problems when it comes communication, please STOP sending hate mails and CHOOSE PEACE for G'sake!!!

For some reason, I imagine you driving in the country in a Cabriolet, hair to the wind, with your car speakers playing outloud that old disco song "So Many Men, So Little Time" by Miquel Brown.

Rob the Snacks is the worst song on Get Ready (except for Run Wild) Perhaps New Order should be an instrumentals only band. Barney's lyrics are getting weaker by the moment.
Still Rocks my shack....does the history go back that far now then Nicos? I was trying to find my first one a while back, but the files only went back to February....if so, how far does it go back? cheers pedro;)
i love rock the shack! and don't diss bobby...i'm a recent primal scream fan and they're a pretty good band. is it just me, or does bobby sound like barney at times? especially on a lot of the xtrmtr tracks...when i first heard swastica eyes, i could have sworn it was barney, but it was really bobby!

this is no longer my least favorite new order song...i actually enjoyed the opening bit before the lyrics a little more and suffered through the rest without the usual grumbling. Still hate Slow Jam and Run Wild is a pile of cheesy dog shit. I swear Barney writes some of the worst lyrics i have ever heard. You have to take the good with the bad though.
Primitive Notion is the gem of Get Ready without a doubt.

Im definitely with you on that one! IT ROCKS!! It goes to show that NEW ORDER can step into any musical style & make it sound awesome!! (Other example 'TURN THE HEATER ON peel session track).
I like Bobby Gillespie's participation on this track. I do enjoy a lot of Primal Scream's music, so it is a nice little bonus!
