I have finally had a chance to view PFD several times and have a couple opinions my girlfriend doesnot care to hear. First, Barney is the weak link in this video. As It Is When IT Was is the most disappointing moment for me. I love Sub-Culture and We All Stand. The latter is a bit of a surprise. My lp of PC&L skipped on that track so i never properly heard it until i bought the disc a few weeks ago. this song rocked live. they need to ressurrect a gem from this era "Procession" would be a joy.
I was imagining what new order would sound like if Kevin Shields played guitar instead of BSumner. Barney could sing still but lets have Shields on tour. Shields and Marr backing new order. Barney could save his energy for BarnDancing and Whooping. could have been the herb talking..........
did barney play the distinctive slap bass on the 12" version of Confusion like he does on PFD?
