Adidas spzl-new order colab range out 18th sept

There's already a teaser trailer online but the full version will be online from tomorrow morning....sounds to me like a remix of be a rebel is used in it

I'm a big fan of the spzl range and have quite a lot of it...but its getting very popular and sells out almost instantly most of the time

So hopefully i can get some of this or i'll not be happy

Already seen the trainers they look alright

I'm guessing these are the trainers?

No....they're adidas manchester

No idea how to post pics on here....full video will be on www.showstudio.com monday morning at 8am showing all the range

Not judging anyone here (and thanks to the OP for the 'heads up' on this) but this all sounds a little bit of a 'cash grab' with very little connection to the band.

I'll reserve final judgement until I've seen the full range, but I'll just leave this here:

Ok. Did some digging and found this on Facebook:

Is this the image you mean?

Edit - looks like this might be one of the shirts too:

Ooof....that top has dampened my enthusiasm!!

The bloke behind the spzl range is from darwen and like anyone from the blackburn area around that age is a big new order fan(myself included)

Bernard has been seen sporting various trainers from the range in the last few years....and also was in the promo pic for the spzl blue monday inspired tee...i wouldn't think this is just a cash in

I think the shirt is ‘ok’, but think that the trainers are pretty drab really. Maybe that’s just me though.

Do those white trainers have "nwrdrspzl" near the heel? Looks possibly like it but photo not conclusive.

Working on this adidas Spezial collaboration has been a different and stimulating experience, the first of its type for me. The project came about through our ongoing relationship with fellow northerner Gary Aspden who creates the Spezial capsule collection. This has been a hands-on and committed working process between all of us, with multiple visits to Germany, design meetings and sample reviews – it hasn't just been a signing off gesture. The process has been revealing, working and creating within the framework of what is and what isn’t possible. There are limitations to work within. For example, creating new toolings for footwear is very expensive, and also there are general – albeit wide ranging – brand guidelines that we had to operate within. But ultimately, the finished article has to have that adidas Spezial look and feel, combined and realised with the ideas that New Order have brought to this collaboration. It was the same when we first started using synthesizers in the early 1980s... the finite possibilities of what you could do with those machines actually became our guidelines and also an advantage i.e. you got the very best out of what they could do rather than just scratching the surface. It was a great experience working with the team over in Herzogenaurach. I was surprised and very pleased at what an internationally inclusive organisation adidas is. We worked alongside creative and helpful people from Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Denmark, the US and the UK – all working together towards getting the designs precise, achievable and representative of what we wanted.’

Thanks for this. We’ll see what tomorrow brings. Will be interested to see the range.

This made me laugh though:

Yeah - right. It’s exactly like that.[:d]

Bloody Hell. When did I become so cynical? Michael Monkhouse has obviously had an impact on me.

Michael - notice how I avoided saying that you’d ‘rubbed off on me’. It’s terrible when you have to avoid slipping into innuendo traps.

Hoping for some Mark Reeder inspired drei streifen lederhosen or lederkappe. Danke.

Full disclosure : I dress like Jim Royle round the house so I'm no expert on fashion but I'm struggling to see the New Order connection. Is it those little label things? Is that it?

Also, I take it it's not pronounced 'spazzel' like it looks?

Is that a Lonesome Tonight/Elvis Presley reference?

My theory is that Bernard and co have secured the rights to use the consonants of the name of the band for this promotion, hence NWRDR, and that Hooky has the rights to the vowels and that his EOE range of overpriced Adidas clobber will be along shortly.

Hooky has always been the smartest dresser since his early Warsaw leather chic to the recent shorts and loafers look - althought the OSM'89 double denim look was a big favourite. Maybe a HKY clothing line could be his next money spinner seeing as gigs are off for a while.

Took a chance and ordered the trainers. £89.99 from Consortium. Wanted to buy from another website that had them at a much cheaper £65 but they were out of stock in my size.

Well, not sure if I’ll like them when they arrive but I’ll take the gamble.Could always stick ‘em on EBay if I don’t like them.

That well gosh website in the link in post above didn’t list my size

Trainers arrived today. Still not 100% sure about them. Think it’s the design around the toe ends I’m not that bowled over by. I’ll keep them though, may wear them now and then.

Think I like the box more than the trainers

Insoles are nice too

3 pairs of alternative lace tags included

Interesting. Citeh did their (admittedly fantastic) Hacienda kit and now Saville's joining in with United. At least this is official, I think the Citeh one had no input from anybody Factory related.

However cool looking some of this stuff is (and I'm a life-long Man U supporter, to boot), I can't help but feel a little annoyed by all this.

It just feels like a massive cash grab and exploitation. Which, of course, it is.

Oh for the days when the only NO/JD merch you could get was the occasional t-shirt sold at the gig (plus the bootleg stuff sold outside).

yes, getting back to it.

first up, ordered a slightly larger size 11 (i'm 10) from the UK for the trainers.

why not?

also, they will go well with :
