I'm going home to pick up my pile of old NO tapes at the weekend, so if anyone wants any copies of anything 1980-89, holler now (or at least before Friday pm) and I'll sort out a copy.

Thought you'd already got that on tape ? I'd been hoping to convert the tape to CD but managed to screw it up. I can do a tape of that any time you want ! Got your address, I'll knock it up over the weekend if a tape's what you want.

do you have anything from red rocks in denver? you say that they had an equipment failure in '87, so i don't know how good that recording is (or is it?). i was at their summer '89 red rocks show and, if i remember correctly, it was pretty fantastic ('technique' and all). i'd just like to have something from my hometown so i can reminisce!

The 87 show is an OK recording, the gig started off so-so with mostly electronic stuff, then it all went wrong and they were forced to improvise a la Preston. Sounds like chaos at the end !

This is a cracking show, with some of the funniest between-song banter you'll ever hear ! The start of Perfect Kiss is cut, unfortunately, but it's still a great show.

Sadly, that tape has never surfaced. I'm not sure they even played there, as it wasn't on the original tour schedule.

If you have them, I would be very interested in Reading 89 (as mentioned above - my version is awful) and Finsbury Park 87 which I've never found

There are a few that I'm looking for:

Frankfurt 31.3.84 Sunderland 83 or 84? Barcelona 7.7.84 Slough 7.12.85

If you have these and don't mind sending tapes of them, I would greatly appreciate it.

Do you have the St Andrews gig from April 1981?

Or failing that anything particularly good or interesting from the Movement, PCL or Technique tours?

(By the way, webmastery people, St Andrews is not in England - you merely think you're in England when you're there! Aberdeen is most certainly not in England.)

Sorry to hear about that, I don't know why I had it in my head that it was at that show where they played Anarchy In The UK.

At any rate, if it's not too much trouble, how about something from a British date on the Brotherhood tour (1986) please?

I've only listened to a few New Order concerts in my day so I don't know too much about what concerts are the best ones to have. If you or anyone else want to help enlighten me though, I'll take suggestions. I have a preference though for better sound quality over tracklisting, since there's always seems to be something special at NO concerts, and I've hardly ever heard any Technique songs live but really want to.

Anarchy was played at the second night at the Greek Theater, Berkeley, in 1987. The 86 date may not have happened.

Indeed, most of the 80-81 gigs were like that. Very different to the rowdy atmosphere of 84-87. It was almost like being at Mass, it was so reverential.

Ok had to chime in here...I was at this show and it was fantastic...During Your Silent Face (3rd or 4th song in) most of the crowd rushed down from their seats to the stage and we danced through the rest of the set.

This show was moved 2 times before it was finally booked at the Berkely community theatre...my original tickets were wrong. The BCT only holds about 800-1000 people so the show was pretty small...
